The first book is also a summary of imam al ghazali magnus opus in spirituality. The idea is to be deeply connected to God an his obedience. It is not what I was expecting but am pleasantly surprised. The second book is a detailed commentary on the Forty Ahadith of Imam an Nawawi. This book is about the most famous ahadith of our faith. Arabic gems will always be there in this class, of course, :)

The second book we cover in these sessions is by the author Yahya as Sharaf an Nawawi. He had a father who was someone who was religious and very cautious about how he obtained his money. His son Yahya, God have mercy on him, was known for not wasting time as a young boy when other kids were playing as kids usually do at that age. Also, he is known to have written a lot of books in a very short period of living. He was known as an nawawi due to the name of his hometown, Nawa, in Syria.

Wa alaykum assalaam wr wb. Oh baby let's go for it. The author of the first book was followed by a famous scholar of a different school of thought, Abu Faraj ibn al Jawzi, who was an expert in the prophetic statements. He used his expertise to weed out the weak statements in the book which Prophet Muhammad, most likely, did not say or definitely did not say. What a Summer time to be alive...Clear Lake IC for life!!!!
