I have them for over a year and over 15000km on my Citroen C4 VTR. I have no complaints, they are stiff but the handling and looks are way better. Btw, I bought mine used and I live in Croatia where the roads are mostly one big mess. So there you go people.

If the TA Technix is getting screwd too low it sits on its rubber-shock absorbers therefore becomes rock hard. You can remove those rubber absorbers to gain additional 1,5 to 2 cm travel, but the smart thing is to screw it back up a few cm. So it drives quite good.

So to summarise cheap coilovers are okay as long as you don’t slam your car to the ground, which lest be honest is why you want to buy them, all the people complaining of them bouncing and riding rough are riding on the bump stops!

Hi ,Thanks for great video and the info. I am planning to get coilovers with low budget for my mazda mx5 mk1 1996, any recommendations ? Much appreciated. Regards
@zizzruzz995611 ай бұрын
I have MX-3 V6 and I'm in the same situation. MX-3 is getting a pretty rare and so are aftermarket parts for it. These are my recommendations. Best: KSport and D2. After those two, there is only TA Technics. I decided I give ta Technics a try, because they are third of the price comparing to KSport and D2. Btw, there is also a standard suspension kit from TA-Technics, which is a complete set with new shocks and springs. It lowers 40/40mm. Price is the same as TA coilovers. I really don't know, which one to get? Maybe I get that suspension kit and if I don't like them, I replace the springs with Eibach or H&R lowering springs.

I have these on my scirocco 16v. When i bought the car, they came with the car, new in the box. Once i installed them, i regreted it instantly. Absolute garbage. Stiff, bouncey as hell. I can't wait to get rid of them and buy a real coilover setup.
@ClutchkickRobcio6 жыл бұрын
It depends on the car i'd say. They work fine with some cars but for some cars they can be pretty dangerous. For example: My Fiat Punto (199). The TA Technix coilover starts to rust quickly and the springs tend to break and/or bend for what i have heard from a friend who tested a lot of suspensions for the Punto
@joeheaven-terry17776 жыл бұрын
Clutchkick Robcio Well you must of had different units because they are aluminium coilovers, which doesn't rust..

Unfortunately there is nothing that can be done with torsion bars. I've looked everywhere and it's either very expensive to get something custom or simply not worth the effort. Plus why would I spend huge money to go from say 21 to 23mm like wtf....
