This does not sound like umayalpuram sivaraman on the mridangam at all.

Ok. As I mentioned I am not as familiar with carnatic music as I am with northern classical. So if you know who the mridangam player might be, let me know. The only thing that I know is that pt. Kishan Maharaj and U K Sivaraman have played together many times.

Looks like ustad zakir Hussain is playing not ustad alla rakha

Are you sure? It's sometimes very difficult to differentiate between the father-son duo's playing styles. IMO Ustad Zakir Hussain's sound production is generally more sharp and clear compared to Ustad Alla Ralha's sweet and soft sound production. Therefore I concluded that it is Abbaji playing in this recording.

Yes it is ustad zakir Hussain

This cannot be Zakir Hussain, does not look like his style at all. It's heavily Banaras style with predominant use of Bayaa.

There are some very fast taans, which Kishan Maharaj usually does not do, but bayaa is still very heavy on those taans, so I suspect it maybe some other tabla player from Banaras gharana maybe Samta Prasad.

@@VaibhavTipnis I side with you on this... feels more like Abba ji. But, I think it would be easier to approach senior students and get them to verify... Yogesh ji, Aditya ji, or even Zakir ji himself... everyone's on social media.
