Have to ask you though, will the tape hold the book together a good long time? Or do you think after, say a year or so, will it stop being as effective (sticky) as hinges?

Thank you so much Lynn! I used Tim’s fabric tape which will be plenty strong over time just like a fabric hinge would be. Tim’s fabric tape is super sticky unlike regular washi tape but just to be on the safe side I recommend adding a touch of glue under the tape. this will insure it will last for a long, long time.
