You know, I saw this, printed out one of my short stories, and I made a ~book~. I don't even... like, within an hour, I now have this beautiful book, I even decorated the front! I oftenstruggle profusely with executive dysfunction, and creative block. But you've got the magic, your video easily inspired me!!!

I'm very-very glad you made a tutorial about tab binding!! I'm severely visually impaired, so my experience of typical binding has been a struggle & frustrating to say the least. Couldn't do the sew binding or the staple method or gluing together folded pages, no matter how large the magnification. The stretchy bands & ribbon didn't last long, either. Three-hole binders have been my 'only' method for almost twelve years. However, tab binding has been a Godsend! This extremely useful & EASY approach has given me so many possibilities for binding new creations. The contrasting colors of the pages & covers & having strips as tabs, fuel my excitement. I have several greeting card projects, now in the works! I got many happy tears accomplishing this on my own & listening to your friendly 'teaching' voice has been a game-changer!~TY very-very much!

What a great tutorial! Natasa, you always explain every detail and steps so well. This is the perfect solution for a “labor of love” I’m working on for my siblings. I found my parents engagement/wedding book that my mother tells the story of how she and my father met, became engaged, married and their honeymoon and first years together. I didn’t know how I was going to bind it together to look cohesive and elegant at the same time, but this is perfect. Again, thank you for another wonderful tutorial. 💜

What a lovely memory journal I can create that way and hand it further to my son. All your journals are such outstanding pieces of art. I am so delighted I found your channel and this new hobby.

You always drive your points home so thoroughly, it is remarkable. And everything is so gold! Literally and figuratively. As always, I have a lot of take-aways, some of which are these. Making binding tabs out of strips cut from cool paper or fabric-based bags or interesting fabric plus a double-sided strip is a tip worth a standing ovation. I want to start collecting into home-made books all cards I receive. And also to make an interesting collection of books made out of covered envelopes to keep special small ephemera. This method will help. Thanks!

Great Video. I teach book binding and journaling at my local Senior center. One of the ideas is to use various stickers, button, beads etc to decorate the ends of the inside tabs as well as the outside tabs or paint with acrylic paint. I also place wide sticky tape or light strips of fabric over center of inside sections when I have signatures to add more stability to my book, still plenty of room for movement of signatures as well as filling them up! Sometimes using " Stitch Witchery" to get super good bind with strips, of course this requires using an iron. Happy Tabbing!

This is fabulous! I've never seen this binding before... but I'm fairly new to a lot of this. Now I have a nice way of putting all the greeting cards we have together in a nice book instead of having them in shoe boxes. If I don't put a back onto the thing, I can continue to add cars as I go. I'm also going to use this binding for my monthly personal journal. I usually sew 4 weeks (2 weeks per signature) but with this I can easily put 4 signatures together in a smallish journal. Thank you so very much.

Absolutely awesome! Thank you. LOTS of ideas here. I love it. You could always add bling to the tabs you dislike so that they look like little rivets. Or you could make little decorative strips using the same tape to stick over the plain bits. In a throw-away world it's great to see how one could upcycle so many items to avoid it ending up in a landfill - I'm attempting a zero-waste life (ha ha). I love the fact that you can plan & prepare a selection of book or album pages then tag the sections together easily, protected by a pretty front & back cover. There are only three difficulties I can see with this techniqe - is if you are anticipating that the booklet was going to have extra stuff added to it (like photos, mementos, scraps etc) that the tabs are not too tightly glued togethet to allow for the extra bulk - if the pages, sections or signatures are quite heavy then its probably also a good idea to ensure the tabs are robust enough to take the weight - you cannot add or subtract pages, signatures or sections to the book once its completed, so ensure you plan very carefully how many of these to include in the book (eg a page or signature for each month of the year for a journal or mini album) in advance It would depend on what type of book it is (journal, treasure book, mini album), what its intended purpose is (eg add memories to it as the year progresses) and who was going to use it (do they journal a lot, do they enjoy collecting little bits & bobs to keep & look at occasionally, or do they enjoy taking lots of photos of events etc, and so on).
