Check out how the TAB Performance mufflers with Zombie baffles perform on our 2017 Harley Davidson Street Glide. Mike shows you our final dyno runs and explains the results. We were really surprised with the bottom end gains and overall consistent performance of these mufflers, expecially considering the Zombie baffle is pretty much wide open which makes them super loud. Mike, Dude, I called your shop a couple days ago and you answered the phone. Blew my mind because I recognized your voice right away. Thanks for the info on these slip on's with the RCX Tormentor head pipe. I have a cam ordered but the TAB slip on's with Zombie Baffles came in yesterday and I couldn't help myself. I had to install them. Love this exhaust combination. Fuel Moto ACDC Intake Power Vision tuner RCX Tormentor 2-1-2 Header TAB Bam Sticks with Zombie Baffles Torque Cam on order. Great info, thank you. What about the 2.5" baffles? Would the performance be much less, minimal or about the same?

If you guys wanna try a sweet setup for a stage 2 on a 2019 Harley touring special, do a S&S 475 cam, se adjustable push rods, se intake, bassani 2x2 mild header pipe, tab performance slip ons with zombie baffle and a master tune tts tuner. See what numbers you can get but the bike will be viciously loud like a muscle car

@@WestEndMotorsports I have 2020 ultra with 131 stock header running svt jackhammers but looking to get the new tabs 5.0 should I run them with or without zombie baffles

Why weren’t the pulls both done in 4th gear?

I asked Dave about that. He says because fourth is a shorter gear it basically distorts the chart and confines the power the distribution. 5th gear is considered standard practice nowadays for mainly that reason, so that's what he does.

I don't mean to be a ball buster but isn't this a little misleading? The first dyno chart was of a stock bike. Second chart shows a stage 2 bike meaning a bike with not only pipes, slip ons, air cleaner but also cams. So shouldn't you do a run with the same bike with just the stage 1 vs the stock to determine if there is a loss of power using those mufflers? That being said I purchased the mufflers and the 2-1-2 head pipe but haven't put on the head pipe yet, trying to decide if I want to take the chance voiding my HD warranty lol.

I don't think it's mis-leading because we are telling you what was done to the bike, but I can see how it could be confusing if you're just looking at the numbers. Unfortunately by the time we started working with TAB we didn't have a stock bike any longer and we wouldn't put the stock cam back in just to test mufflers. The dyno testing we did was part of a larger test comparing mufflers against each other on the same bike, with the same set up. We can't really compare manufacturers in videos, I don't think it's fair to do and we're not looking to make one pipe look better than another, just show the results we had and our takeaways. Compared to all other mufflers on this bike the TABs performed really well, and so it's very safe to assume that they would perform similarly on a stock bike, just not quite as much because is always adding a percentage onto the current performance. I can't advise you what to do with your warranty, that's up to you and what you're comfortable doing. All I can say is eventually you'll put those headers on and be very happy. Whether you're still under warranty or not is another question.

There's a lot of noise in the dyno room, fans, bike, dyno etc. We're also inside. If you want a good idea for how the pipes sound outside, check out our sound and review videos, which have done for these pipes. These videos are not made for sound, it's a cool way for people to see the process and then explain the results.

I feel you are wrong on your graphs. The 2-1 performed much better to me. Just going by your graphs, I would give up those two Ft #'s of TQ for that much flatter curve that made more HP. I would re-examine(re-dyno) the 2-1 that dipped a wee bit in the mid range and look at fueling and timing. You might get it up a bit to match the peaky TAB curve "almost" Totally wrong here IMHO. I would rather ride the 2 - 1 curve bike. A peaky curve is not always the best.

Hi Les, Most of the 2-1's did perform better overall and certainly better than 2-1-2 set up, but that wasn't the point we were trying to make. From our perspective, many people are talked into a 2-1 based just on performance and they may have wanted to keep duals for looks, sound or just preference in general. We wanted to let those people know that they can do a 2-1-2 with a good set of mufflers and still gain performance in similar areas as well as maintain the other things they like about that set up. Also, every single dyno sheet you're looking at has been tuned for. We're not just running the pipes and getting the information, we install the pipes dyno and tune until we've reached peak performance and optimal fuel ratios and then we run one more so that we have the best possible numbers on a correctly tuned bike.
