I'm not too fond of law enforcement, so what else would I do with it? I used to get away with stuff my parents NEVER caught on to. Still to this day, I could tell my mom something I did & got away with that she knows nothing about. But even though I'm grown with a whole husband & 2 whole teenagers....if I told her some of that stuff, she would probably whoop me off principle alone. EXAMPLE: _(promise I'm not saying this with any kind of pride cause it was dead wrong)_ I had a job & wanted a 2-way pager so bad my freshman year in high school. If added to our at&t landline, my bill would be $45/ month. My mom of course told me no! (LORD FORGIVE ME) But my sneaky tail came up with a plan. Before the bill was posted & mailed to the house, I would go to Jitney Jungle & pay $50 or $55 on the account. My mom never looked at the detailed bill as long as it wasn't high. So for the entire 18 months that my 2-way was on that phone bill, my mom never knew & thought her bill went down $5 or $10 every month. That's one she has yet to find out! Needless to say, I'm getting my karma with my teenagers!🤦🏾♀️

That street light story had me laughing with all the good memories of childhood! When Chance said he'd be coming in hot on that bike, I almost fell off my seat🤣 'cause I remember taking chances at the last minute to get home & yes, that light would flicker & buzz before it slowly got up to full glow.😂😂😂😂

OMG! So many memories. In Elementary putting paper in the cassette tape so me and my cousins can record ourselves singing songs. Falling off of merry-go-rounds, riding in the back of my Dads pickup truck, making "pallets" with cousins at grandma's house (country name for stacking blankets on floor. LOL), playing pencil brake in middle school, "highsidin"(talking about each other) on the back of the school bus, talking on house phone with bf, 3-way calls, then caller id. Heck even being yelled at to close refrigerator because I'm letting the cold air out. So many I can't count...I miss those days.

We better get in the house when the street lights came on. Yup!!!! And you better bring your bike back in with you. Yup. And if my mama wanted us in before the street lights came on she would yell at the top of her lungs for 6 kids each of us by name. We had about 60 houses in the neighborhood and yes we heard her no matter what block we were on.the neighbors would hear her and tell us your mama is calling you. It was awesome!!!!! Today's generation is missing so much. Just basic life. It was great. Thanks mom and dad for everything!!!

I tell my kids about the street light ⏰ all the time. As soon as that buzzing started, you better be your butt in the house before that light was completely on. Mid conversation all you heard was "Gotta go"! The phone call interruption, Skate Depot/World on Wheels sessions, pushing the game cartridge in the game system to the left side after blowing it and it still not working sometimes so you blew even harder. Spit went everywhere. Lol... It's so crazy how as a culture, we all experienced a lot of the same things from our child hood yet we don't necessarily know each other. So many great and good times!!!!

Nothing can be more embarrassing than your Mom coming out of the Livingroom as your going to answer the door bell, and I hear her say Peachy, who is that at the door? I said it's my Friend, she says what Friend? I said it's my Friend but it was a Boy who was liking me. Next thing I see my Mom came to door with a SHOTGUN! Then the Boy took off running. She then said to me I told you about them no good Boys. I was so embarrassed. But I can Laugh about it now. My Mom didnt play.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
