Your teachings are excellent, sir. The note "Na" requires the index finger to resonate on the Kinar but I am not able to do so in my tabla since the sound pitch is very weak when I do the same. How to overcome this mistake, sir. It would be greatful if I receive your reply :)
@mmallick3224 Жыл бұрын
Keep on practicing until the Na sound comes. If it isn't coming make sure the puri or the membrane is tighten up.

Hi Sulekh Sir, I have started following your practice lessons. they are very illustrative for me to learn. I am a Djembe player, and my passion for tabla has been since long. Finally I purchased and started following ur tutorial videos. search a lot and finally got nice tutorial. :-) U are my Guru to teach this to me. thank u for all these. I will practice regularly. I am facing difficulty in the fastest speed that u illustrated, it starts well but I get jumbled up, I know practice will make it perfect, is there anything else I need to focus on?

4days practice ~ each day 1hr Still can’t do like him Fastly it’s very hard Need more practice Don’t know which one need to watch next?
@arjunprabhu60484 жыл бұрын
You need months if not years of practice to play at that speed. Even then, more than speed you should focus on proper placement of fingers when striking, stamina, force of striking, & maintaining the tempo, then gradually increasing it.

Sir your teaching is good but plz I can not understand left hand plz explain which fingers is used for left hand in ghe..ghe..te..te
@NawinAD8 жыл бұрын
my dominant hand is left is it okay if i reverse the bayan and dayan and learn.. help me to figure this out pls :D
@TablaWorks8 жыл бұрын
It's fine to have left hand dominant in Tabla. Many players switch the right and left drum around so this is absolutely fine.

you can't show "ke" as all fingers flat (in your beginner's lesson) and then in this video show "ke" bouncing up (and looks like one finger is hitting- not 4). which is it? "Ke" is flat or???
@TablaWorks8 жыл бұрын
There is no use of the bol (note) ''ke'' in this video. The bol used are Ghe, TeTe and Na. The Ke sound is a flat sound using all the fingers on the left drum whilst the Ghe sound is open and resonant. That is probably the reason why you can see a slightly different hand movement from the beginner video. I hope that helps!
