Love the video, so timely with the holidays happening. I'd love a video on social skills for dining for tweens or teens. Many young kids after COVID are still lacking these skills, and with how the economy has been, many have not had the experience of dining out in casual or more formal settings. Thanks for considering!

Is the red wine glass the same size and shape as the white wine glass? Also, I would love to know how to eat small things like peas, or something that has crumbled into little pieces. I am right handed, but I have taught myself how to eat the European way, which is using my knife in my right hand and the fork in the left. This works just fine when the fork in the left hand is used for "spearing" something solid, like a piece of meat or a chuck of sweet potato. However, things go downhill fast when I try to use the fork in the left hank to scoop up smaller things like peas and actually get that fork to my mouth! I have heard that it's considered to be gauche to switch your fork and knife from one hand to another. Thanks for the video, it's terrific!

I'm Australian and we follow UK/European style of eating here. I was taught that the bread plate goes to the left of the cutlery on the left side of the plate, not above the forks as you've shown here. In restaurants they're also placed to the left. Is this correct for our style of eating?

Thank you. Someone that loves to host fantastic dinners always puts the knives and forks on the wrong side of the plate and it drives me nuts. Now I have never seen the two knife and your starter fork and knife. I’ve always referred to as a salad fork. What about having the napkin to the left of the plate?

What is the correct placement of flatware during a meal if you leave the table?
@mykameier74742 күн бұрын
The proper way is to put the cutlery in an upside down v shape across your plate 🥰

dessert typically included coffee in the past, why the spoon

In formal dining you want to set out only the cutlery that you are going to use. So if you were eating ice cream, the spoon would be laid out. It all depends on the meal that you prepared for your guests. Hope this helps 😘
