I don’t know! This is such a hard one. I think he needs to be given the opportunity to be honest with his wife and it is best for the neighbor to be involved as little as possible. If that means confronting him with a male husband or friend present and providing some Resources for counseling or church guidance? I would think the elegant thing to do would be to acknowledge that you don’t know the whole story but not keep such a hurtful secret either.
