I Remember that hike I live in Driggs Idaho the table mountain hike was brutal I did the steep way right up the face with a group of younger kids who were high school athletes and I was in my mid 20s at the time. The hike was beautiful and worth it but man I hurt for days after the hike. Great video though man I enjoyed it.

Wow, that was an amazing pay off view after that climb!

Until I get my 4Runner camper conversion built and some money saved up I'm living vicariously through these videos, so thank you for sharing this hike and the beautiful views from the summit. I think I remember seeing a video where Tristan from SUV RVing hiked to the same spot.

Darn, I don't remember that one. I really like Tristan and all his adventures. Someday I'd love to go most everywhere he goes. I'm not quite as comfortable doing some of the climbs he does. Hope you get things built well. Living on the road is pretty darn nice I have to say! So much time to relax. I think making KZbin videos help alleviate any type of burn out as well since you do a few things a week but spend a few days editing in between. Hope you'll be on the road soon!

The 8 times wife and I have hiked in the GTNP ..... have always wandered what the opposite side of the GRAND TETON looked like ... thank you so much for pointing it out. Your vids are wonderful. .. like the specific details of the trail as you are hiking the trail. Epic views ... Thank You!!

Thank you! Really if I had more time I think I would have stayed and hiked more of the trails from this area. I really wanted to go to Hurricane Pass as well but oh well. Maybe next time I'm in the area. I really didn't want to spend too much time inside the national park visitor center getting a backcountry permit.

Ive hiked here many times as a kid! Gonna head back next season with some of my friends from the midwest to show em mountains haha. Excellent video!!!!! Best showcase of the trail ive seen!

Definitely take them up Devils Staircase. I enjoyed going up but didn't want to go back down that steep trail. Those mountains on the east side are amazing. I'd definitely go back and camp out somewhere.

Gee, I am now sorry I never did this hike. I was always backpacking into Alaska Basin, or from other canyons such as Death Canyon or Cascade. But the views from this trail are much better than from the trail up to Alaska Basin. You don't see similar views until you get up to Hurricane Pass. There was a lot more snow than trips I have done there. It looked like School Room Glacier which is right below Hurricane Pass was completely snow covered. One year when on Hurricane Pass I counted 35 people either on Table mountain or coming or going from the mountain. Anyway, great video. Thanks for posting.

I hope you caught my Alaska Basin video. I hiked to it via Devils Staircase and the views up there were even better on this hike! I loved that entire section then looking down on the basin and all the trails and tiny little people was fun. I really wanted to go to Hurricane Pass as well but I just didn't have the time. Maybe some other day.

@@JayWandersOut Yes I did. Quite beautiful. The flowers in the Tetons are some of the best, if not the best of anywhere I have backpacked. I have done this trail you hiked a couple of times when starting and ending backpacking trips into the area.

I highly recommend Table Mtn. It's not that busy and I think the views are amazing!

Thanks for the views behind Tetons. I have only seen it once from the front, in 1977 on a motorcycle trip. I hear Harrison Ford has rescued people in those mountains with his Bell Helicopter. The Rode mic is great but the Dead Shrew (aka: Dead Cat, aka: fur wind screen) does not hold on well. Like your mosquito netting for the door, never seen that before.
@JayWandersOut4 жыл бұрын
My mosquito netting for the door is as ghetto as you can go. It works for the most part though so I very much appreciate it. I soaked it in a permethrin mix as well so it helps keep bugs away.

Awesome, where’s your summit flag? Crowds going up looked a little like crowds on Everest! Fun to see the back view of the Tetons.

It's nice being able to see from the top all the little people still coming up the mountain

Table Rock. I have never heard it called Table Mountain before. Even though that is what it says on the signs, I have never heard that before, and I live about 40 miles from it.
