I made these a while back after watching Johns video, and I have to say I find them excellent, as you do. Nice touch with the reminders too. Cheers Mike

+Mike Waldt Thanks Mike. I am terrified of cutting bits off myself so these are a great help. Best Wishes, Brendan.

Great words of wisdom Brendan. If I ever get a workshop big enough for a table saw, I will definitely use this information. Lack of concentration is an easy killer!

Thank you Brendan. As you are all too aware I'm a master wood turner and modest with it. Despite that I got my first table saw a just a few week's ago. I'm still becoming acquainted with it and in fact today I spent about an hour using it. It is a superb machine but equally an extremely dangerous one. It would have your fingers off in a split second of carelessness. I've seen lots of videos on making sleds for table saws so I'm convinced I'm going to have to go down that route. Anything such as your push sticks can only be good. Best wishes, Alan.

+Alan Simpson Thanks Alan, I really like John's push stick and feel confident using it. I am going to make a sled myself because I like the safety and precision that gives. I've just been given another couple of jobs to do associated with wood but not all turning and the table saw will be a great asset. Health to enjoy your new saw. Best Wishes, Brendan.

I made these a while back after watching Johns video, a great piece of kit very easy to make and as you say can save your fingers, I like your idea of writing on them, (good tip) Best wishes Harry

+The Little Garden Shed Workshop Thanks Harry, I like these and should make a few more because a couple are getting a bit beaten up. I like the cost too. Best Wishes, Brendan.

Great information my friend! There are not enough precautions one can take to be safe! So let's take any possible! Cheers! Daniel

Those pushers are a vital tool while using a table saw. VITAL My father is a professional contractor with tons of experience on a table saw. Is also an amazing guitarist, had been professional at that, though he was a bit better before he got in a hurry and caught the tip of his index finger on his very powerful table saw. Broke it in 7 places and really messed him up. He's back playing guitar, but it took him many years to even get close to what he used to do. Just the tip, he's still got finger nail, but it took off the end of his finger bone and the damage to his finger was horrific. It was only through sheer will, willingness to endue extreme pain to play again. He's a motivated flippin ham, who so loves to impress people or he'd never have had the drive to gain most of his ability back. I am VERY careful around power tools. I hate Safety Sallys and I don't care a bit about appearances. I destroy people who push at me with cheap anal safety directions to make themselves look good ... but I'm VERY careful. Still have all my parts.

Sorry to say I don't like this type of push stick I use a 650 MM. circular saw at work with all the guards fitted as we have to for health and safety law and you hands should not get any closer than 300mm too the saw blade so this type of push stick is no good at all

+ian mills That's interesting. I didn't know industrial safety was that strict about distance to the blade.
