It's a funny old world....You can't even touch one of these things in a workplace without a full induction by a competent person....yet the most inexperienced person can buy one and take it home. Hopefully such people seek out videos like this before they get carried away.

I think manufacturers should disable their saws, and leave clues to how to enable it throughout the operating manual. This might mean a few more people would have to read them first.

I can't think of any cut I would make on a saw bench where I would remove the guard. They are designed to be used with them, if you think you need to remove them for a cut ask yourself why? Is there a machine that could do the job safer? the answer is of course yes. NEVER TAKE RISKS WITH CIRCULAR SAW BENCHES, statistically they have more accidents than any other woodworking machine.

And always use a push stick, so that your hand is never within 300mm of the blade.
