Wifes is about 2 months old about 1000 rds thru it. LUBE it up and keep it lubed. Hers does not like any aguila ammo. And we have the most problems with the 25rd mag the 10s work fine but the 25rd pos. Likes blazer 38gr 40gr cci minis and most of the ammo that has been put thru it has been federal those 450 rd bottles which it likes the most. Just no aguila (sorry if i am mis spelling their crap ammo). Lube lube lube clean clean clean and its your best bang for your buck. Also this is the feather lite different from the stand tm22 which is about 100 bucks more.

I’m thinking of getting the tm22-a-18 model with a hand guard with it. I always see this gun in pics or videos with different handguards, but I haven’t been able to find one video of someone putting a new hand guard on it. I read that the tm22-a-18 isn’t compatible with aftermarket handguards BUT I KEEP SEEING THEM WITH DIFFERENT HANDGUARDS EVERYTIME
@HimJones1292 Жыл бұрын
Like for instance in this video, that is a completely different handguard from what I see in other videos. correct me if I’m wrong but the original tm22-a-18 handguard is not the same as the one shown in this vid, could someone help a brotha out

How is the handgaurd mounted with a delta ring. Is there some sort of barrel nut on this version. Since the other handgaurds are held on with a screw through the upper rail.

Its mounted normally. The carry handle overlaps a little but is not actually connected to the hand guard. I will try to get a video up showing that better.

For 159 on sale, the extra cost of the hold back ability for the bolt would probably add to the inexpensive cost and make it closer to $ 225.00. I would have preferred a longer hand grip or even the rail system used on the earlier version. The stock Vietnam grip is really too short, although adding a pict rail and iron sights is completely possible ( I did ). The magazines are aluminum and very expensive and at this time, only original ones are made ( and mostly not available ). It is a beautiful gun and should be a great shooter.

I just picked up the same exact rifle. I only paid $159 on sale. I haven’t shot it yet. But I love the look and feel of the rifle. The only cons I have is, I wish the hand guard was longer and I agree with you the charging handle seems like it could break off. I wish a traditional AR charging handle was use instead. Not sure about differences but I know this one is their feather weight model so it has a polymer receiver. And pretty much any 22lr version of an AR that I’ve shot are a pita(I like this acronym) to disassemble. But that being said, super fun to shoot and rebate for 25 round magazine helps

I want to thank you for talking me out of getting one. They're constantly highlighted by my surrounding stores and try to sell for $180 as if they're not moving. Some claim to have problems with theirs but my main issue is what you said plus the biggest turnoff is so. much. polymer. Metal handguards only, please! Those don't crack when mounting things on. Getting mags for these isn't nice either. They're overpriced and, well, good luck _finding_ a 25-rounder. It's almost 2024 and gun makers are still hammering in that 10-round mag thing. Pass.

Oh forgot to ask, wanted to to know, do you think the butt stock could be detached (and left off) and the gun still usable, making it almost more like a long pistol than a rifle? Or is the gun's function (the bolt action or whatever) still dependent on the stock being attached?
@HarshmanHills10 ай бұрын
In theory it should. A 22lr does not use the same style of buffer system as a “regular” ar. I wouldn’t recommend it though as it would be ridiculously awkward for the weight.
