3 years in, it still hurts. Not quite as bad. If it used to be 10/10 pain maybe its down to a 7/10.

@@mattschulz558 dang. I guess I’m lucky. I feel like my pain went from a 10 down to a 6 or below after my first year. But I also had been weight training hard for years before hand so that may be different from a guy who didn’t lift many weights prior to arm wrestling.
@Sinkatze
@Sinkatze Жыл бұрын
@@papapronator2476 Yeah its different for everyone, Im a bit over a year in and it has gone down tremendously, but it really depends how strong the people you are practicing with and how hard you go at practice. I know a new guy that never has any elbow pain and he just started, he keeps going to any practice he can 2-3 times a week, he gets tired but no elbow pain the days after

@@Sinkatze literally me, i just started and im blasting all out (with recovery work, and im only 18) and there's a little pain but that's it, and its only in my wrist for i'd say 4 days

Ive watched a lot of AW content on youtube from many different creators, and people have talked about recovery a lot too, but ive never heard the doing the opposite movement trick. Seems so logical i cant beleive i havent been doing it. Great tip im going to incorporate this immediately thanks

It’s like kneesovertoesguy explains about the posterior chain .... the simplest way to reverse knee pain is to walk backwards for a few hundred meters everyday. That worked for me... So I’m going to trust the table monkey’s advice for the arms.

If u have some problems with ur tendons and stuff u can try body tempering, if u don't know what that is look up jujimufu vid with Devon, u can simply use a barbell if u don't have pieces of steel around it works great, my tip is to leave it in one place and let it sit for about 5minutes

@tablemonkeys5262
@tablemonkeys5262 Жыл бұрын
We call this release pain. Usually caused by a junked up nerve.. flossing the ulnar nerve can help.. also tightness in the tricep can cause this.. lastly weakness in the chopping vector can contribute to this release pain as well…

Once i did arm wrestling with my classmate who is bigger than me...and i hold him with my entire energy and he slams me using his entire power which wad more than what it required to win. That quick movement with so much power made my arm painful....after few more arm wrestling that day i couldnt move my hand anymore...i used my left arm to even lift my arm little bit...i couldn't sleep...it was so much painful ldeep inside my muscles..especially triceps. After few months i was relieved from that pain...then after many months i armwrestled again and that same pain returned...whenever i arm wrestle that pain comes back...i go gym daily but i dont feel that pain...can anyone help me with it...i likes to arm wrestle a lot...i used to arm wrestle in my childhood but i cant do that anymore

I of course knew the importance of training the opposing muscle groups for balance and health, but this is the first time I've heard a recommendation NOT to do light bloodflow work on your armwrestling movements. Do you really think that super light sets of 50 reps are going to harm your tendon/ligament recovery instead of aiding it? Devon swears by it.
@toptrollking
@toptrollking Жыл бұрын
You can still do aw specific for light reps just do those when your slightly less sore
@tablemonkeys5262
@tablemonkeys5262 Жыл бұрын
We would argue this is more vital in terms of helping recovery and also sustainability. Light blood flow work for the specific arm wrestling movements is definitely also valid.

the thing is right if you wake up every day and do a 12 hour day you get home and youre sore as shit. the next day you have to do it again. then again the next day. after 2 weeks you arent sore anymore but youre doing the same movements for 12 hrs a day that initially made you sore. who are the guys who are naturally strong? the dudes that do hard work every day for years. shed builders, brickies, mechanical guys..none of them get a break. their bodies just adjust.
