I've used this blade and found it too direct and unspinny. You can block well with it, but your loops lack spin and are also blocked back with ease. The overall energy of the ball is less than with Nittaku Tenor or Viscaria, which hold the ball a bit more and let you impart both speed and spin. This one is about sheer speed, not "punch". It's also difficult to execute a low spinny loop with emphasis on low rebound. You often get it smashed or relooped back, which rarely occurs with Nittaku Tenor and Hexer or XPlode rubbers. With Primorac Carbon, glued Bryce or Sriver EL and celluloid ball you had both speed and spin, but that era has passed away. Nowadays more dwelly and powerful blades are needed.
@pingsunday4 жыл бұрын
Yes, this is the legend carbon blade (with Sardius too). Here is my taste: I think that in table tennis, we can win with another thing too: not only speed, but consistency, variation, and tactical is much more important nowadays. (It's just my opinion, peace).
@Abdulbasit-alshafi3i4 жыл бұрын
Do you recommend this blade with the hurricane 8 soft ?!?🤔 Btw good to see you here coach 😁😊
@JayB-lz6yd4 жыл бұрын
@@Abdulbasit-alshafi3i they are superb wih chinese rubbers. the only things you'll have to work on are short game and seves. because it lacks of feeling on small impacts.
@pergunnarvikmjlhus35974 жыл бұрын
You should also ask yourself, do you really want a blade that fast? If you smash at like 100 mph, and the other player blocks it back, then you're going go get a 100 mph ball coming back at you aswell. Also, if your short game is bad, then the opponent is just going to third ball attack you all the time. Flat hits are good if you're playing against n00bs, but if you're playing against better players you'll need to loop the ball more, which this racket isn't so good at.
@pingsunday4 жыл бұрын
@@Abdulbasit-alshafi3i why you want to play with Hurricane 8 soft? What is the DHS hardness? Normally, Chinese players play hard Hurricane, and then boost the rubber. They don't like soft version. I think that Soft version for mostly foreigner players (exported version of DHS).

The good thing with the Primo Carbon is, it‘s not so important which rubbers you play, how old they are and how is the shape of the rubbers. You don‘t have to boost the rubbers, because the blade is so dominating and fast with Good feeling. One of the Best blades in the World for sure.
@meklon54 жыл бұрын
Dan, imagine this beast with 38mm and fresh glued maximum rubbers. THIS was true speed and spin! :) Anyway, Werner Schlager used a slightly modified version of the Primo Carbon when winning in Paris. The result was then published as the Schlager Carbon. It's a little bit faster, stiffer and some grams plus. It was great to play with BTY Bryce, glued.
@FrankieStans4 жыл бұрын
Exactly, the Schlager was thicker and faster!
@canicetang88374 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the video. That's the choice between Speed and Spin. The blade is a rocket and I think on someone like a Harimoto would be even more devastating. You can use your opponent's speed and add on with it. However, this blade is designed for close to mid distance (that would be a stretch) play and not for the loop-to-loop, or even all around play which is needed in the modern game. Once again, it depends on your style because everyone is different.

Primorac and Garaydia T5000. Both blades you don't want to give a slow heavy top spin loop. Because they will just answer with a closed angle flat drive off the bounce that's extremely fast. It would use the spin of the returning ball itself to get the ball over the net and the wielder would only need a stroke that's concentrated on power even with zero wrist "brushing" movement. Primorac also says that the hard part about blades like this is the first touch - which is very true. Because it's so fast the angle and power must be right otherwise the ball flies away so fast it just sinks into the net or flies off. Your brush movement has to be good to give enough ball-arcs

I think Hinoki outer ply blades have a unique character. I think they are bouncy and have that explosive hit.
