How heavy should the paper be in order for letters to stand up like that?

Cardstock weight paper works best.

What about the letter P how would I do that one I tried and it kept falling down has no support

Cut the length of your paper a 1/4 inch longer so you can score it and bend it under, do not cut it off. Now you can stand the P up and it will have something there to maintain it from falling over. It works perfectly for me. Hope this helps you.

How to I open the punch board.... my punches are giving me problem continuously . It does not cut properly on all sides so paper gets jammed

We're so sorry to hear that! We recommend punching through several sheets of aluminum foil multiple times to sharpen the punches, and then punching through several sheets of wax paper multiple times to lubricate them. Hi Anita, for the mini alphabet punch board you would cut your paper to either 3x2 1/2 inches for a card that folds on the side, and 1 1/2 x 5 inches for a card that folds on the top.
