Enjoyed watching as I just picked up an Italian Starter army. Italians started with a lot of armor but it is tough when outgunned.........

Just a rules thing, at 1:00:20 Because your armoured car is open topped it can be pinned via small arms fire. Page107. Much love and keep up the great work .

Great game! That artillery barrage really was the tipping point. Up until then the Italians seemed to have the momentum.

Great scenario and well painted armies. Quick rules comment: gun crews down to one, or two, crew, do not get the small team modifier that infantry get. The rationale is that they will stick close to the gun, thus remaining well observed targets.

Makes sense. Thanks for the heads up.

That was fun. Love throwing in special rules, changes the game plans. Seems like the 8th had a dozen more die.

I think they had two more dice. But the Italian losses amplified that

35:45 he rolled a 5 and a 6 to damage the British armored car. The 5 would have been a glance, not a pen.

The Hills are sweet, do you have a video on how you do those? I'm assuming you use felt maps.

Andre made some hula from wood. Rounded them off. Sanded them down. We placed them under the game mat
@marcmiddleton22772 жыл бұрын
@travh20 I was thinking of getting some dense foam and doing that. I'm guessing the felt mats are best, the mouse pad ones I think wouldn't work as well.

@@marcmiddleton2277 felt is the only type that will work for draping over hills. mouse pad no way

Amazing paint job on these. Where did you get the small base extension for your NCOs and Officers?

Got ‘em off eBay years ago. I don’t think these particular ones are available any more. But you can get similar ones in the 3d print world.

Good game. Note a gunshield (eg on 25 Ib'er) gives a +1 to toughness vs small arms fire.

I'm probably a little late to weigh in on the short rules sentiment right at the end of the game, but anyway: I think the rules that you have to roll a dice and have to roll above the turn number to run the whole 12" could be used to represent something else then desert heat. You could use it to represent general exhaustion, your troops are deployed for an extended amount of time and they become more tired every turn. Or worsening weather conditions, like an upcoming storm or something like that. Plus it could get quite hot in other theatres as well; a hot summer day in Italy, France or Russia can get pretty exhausting, too (I mean, I'm not really an outdoor-guy, but whether you are in a 38°C degree heat or 50°C heat, it wears on you anyway? (100°F or 120°F for my american friends) From a gaming perspective, it does make missions like the supply grab more interesting because you can't sit back and wait for the very last moment to strike. You guys make really awesome videos, I'm starting with Bolt Action, had a few games so far and is really fun! I'm learning quite a bit watching your battle reports, thanks for that!

Your 2nd FT attack was a hit on a 2, as you didn't move, no pins, & was point blank range.

How about a 2,000 point game, but half must be allocated to tanks?not many extra order dice when you think about it,could be fun
@McBurnside63802 жыл бұрын
1:12.22 Your flamethrower should have hit on a 2. I don't know, it seems like you fudged a bunch of things unporpose in order to be nicer to your friend Steve. Moving a ranged in mortar that could have killed two men and add pins is an obvious bad move. The extra pin or two would certainly have helped Steves squad fail the morale check from your flamethrower - the one that hit on a 2. Also, the 1" template was covering three men, they were down so that would have hit two, not 1 as Steve said.

I am sure the armies are ready, but have you been preparing and practising with the dice? The source of the missions does not get a mention below!!! Sounds like you need to visit your local Italian restaurant with the rule book to get your Italian phrases sort out!! Did you use the gun shield rule for the 25pdr?

I don’t have a source for the mission other than Brad who sent me a photo of it. I did hide behind the gun shield but it didn’t do any good 🙁

Hi Travis, as much as I like you, your crew and the channel. This one is just bad, you had 1260 points against 1060 points, and on top the better AFV, no softskin vehicles. The Italians are srewed up all over the place, what sort of honourable victory is this?
