Great table! looks amazing.. an FYI, @7:28 the Moral Check should have been at -2. The -1 for the Pin and -1 for no NCO. It is a "last man standing" in a team or crewed weapon is the same as no NCO. The team now has a permanent -1 to moral and -1 to shooting for no loader.. Page 47 of the V2 Rulebook. This did not change the outcome in this case.

The assault on the Jeep needed to be done with the rules which 1 dice per soldier add the hits then roll a d6 and total both scores, if the total is equal or higher you damage the vehicle if not no damage

In Andre’s Jeep assault: First, I don’t think you can run out of buildings. (I say that because you “have to run” to get into them but I recall the rules saying the opposite for exiting) Second: Assaulting a vehicle; you roll to hit, 1 die per guy, need 4s if it didn’t move and 6’s if it did, then the number of hits counts as penetration. But you don’t get a “free d6”; you have to score at least one hit to damage it at all. I believe after that softskins are automatically destroyed on a successful assault.

I agree pins should have some thing like -1 dice for every 2 pins in close combat

An FYI, you did the Jeep correct. It had an Advance order. so, a D6 per model to hit, plus a D6. However, the unit should have consolidated after the attack. Move a D6 away from the Jeep...

Keep in mind that MMG is now a small team, can’t move though and gets a -1 for firing. And that halftrack shouldn’t of gotten the +1 for pen. It was at long range. So when an odd number of guys go down and are still hit by HE you half the numbers of hit rounding up. Team of 3 would be 2 hits, not 1. Not sure why he moved his Stug there... but anyways he does have a MMG on the thing. It’s a pintle mounted MMG on the game with a 360 degree arc of fire. At the 26 min mark, he can’t move the MMG, it only has one crew member now and cannot move. One thing that happened earlier too is that for a mortar to lose its zeroing the target must move from the area by at least 3 inches. I doesn’t look like the AT gun moved that far. The US squad should of had to take a morale check after the mortar hit. He killed 6 guys. Even if it was a US squad with 12 men (max number of men in US squads) he lost half. That’s a morale check. He then rolled a 7 for their order test... that should of been their morale check. They failed. Even with the officer close by they needed a 6 to pass. When the MMG shot at the flak, he should reroll the 6. You can take out an entire weapons system with a lucky shot like that. Only on heavy weapons you can’t. Light and Med you can. I would need to look at the rules for assaulting soft skin vehicles but he still should of gotten to reconsolidate after the assault. Is that jeep a transport? If it is then you really need to look at the transport rules of the game. He would of been destroyed awhile back I believe. If it’s not a transport and in the armoured car slot, how do the Americans have 2 armoured cars on the board? And after destroying the US vehicle you guys forgot to pull a die out of the bag from the US. And now at the 47 min mark I realize that AT gun is a heavy one. Well that thing can’t move without a tow. So it shouldn’t of been able to ever move and get out of mortar zeroing. What’s you’re math on the Jeep being destroyed? Pen of 2 for AP rounds on the flak, side shot is another 1 to penetrating... so 3 and two 3’s were then rolled. That’s two hits at superficial damage. He then rolled 2 fours. You subtract 3 for superficial damage. So that’s only 1’s now. So the vehicle goes down and takes a total of 3 pins. 1 for the hit, then 2 for the two damage chart rolls. If he were to roll 2 5’s it would of immobilized him twice which would destroy him. Or you can get a 6 and hope he fails the morale check. And you should be rolling each die separately, not at the same time. You guys are screwing up hard with the mortar too. At 58 min in when the German mortar hit he could include the officer in who was hit as long as he puts the original targeted squad under the template as well. And once again... with going down you round up the number of men you hit. He would of hit two again, not one!

Rob Knight we use clump foliage glued to some sticks then painted various shades of black and grey and then hardened with PVA glue

We did. Just an 8’ sheet of plywood with some custom built 1’ deep trays to make it into a 6x4

@34:20 The 20mm would not count as a small team if it has only 2 models left. A unit only counts as a small team if it consits of only one or two infantry models. since there is still the 20mm by itself it can never count as a small team. this applies to all artillery units. @48:10 Soft skinned vehicles dont suffer from additional damage modifiers.

Hi Matthias, -since there is still the 20mm by itself it can never count as a small team- Unfortunately , the Gun itself does not count a model. 1-2 infantry units is a small team. the gun provides no modifier, not even cover. the only exception is if it has a gun shield, then it adds a +1 to the wound roll.. the only time it counts as a model is when an enemy unit pit stops within 1" of an un-crewed gun, then it is considered destroyed (unable to be re-crewed).... -Soft skinned vehicles don't suffer from additional damage modifiers- You are absolutely correct. The jeep should have survived that attack. They had it right at first, then second guessed themselves.

@@totalnoob4961 Hey. The gun itself counts as a model. ( page 93 rulebook "Artillery Units" ). It only dosnt count as a model if you work out if the operating models are in cover ( page 96 rulebook "Cover" ). The "Small Team" Rule ( page 54 rulebook "Target is a small unit" ) states a unit as small if it consits of either one or two INFANTRY models. Because a artillery unit always has a GUN model, it can never be affected by this rule! It make sence because the rule gets justified that one or two men can easily escape attention. Two models pushing a big gun arround the battlefield are more likely to be spotted tho.

adamstrange supreme this is a tabletop miniature game not a video game. Although I played a ton of Sudden Strike back in the late 90s. Have since switched over to Company of Heroes.
