You guys are doing great with these battle reports..mistakes are made, but it happens..like the cover save at point blank that others mentioned..my only comment is that at 33:30 ish when the captains track was hit and it caught on fire...the captain would have had to bail and receive a down order (pg 147 right column -immobilized and on fire = dismount)

I am not sure how he did it. That was Ryan’s mini. I think it was not a 3d print. More home made.

Fair note - it is fairly incosistent. While in turn 5/6 hanomags were shooting your single nco, with pepesha (point-blank + down order on target) YOU were rolling for cover saves. In turn 7 (?), you decided to drive your car to shoot his captain (point-blank + down order) and the first thing you reminded him was NOT to roll cover saves in point blank It all looks like your main goal in those games is to WIN, by obeyingthe rules, when they are helpful to you and only then. As for the better part of the video - amazing terrain and montage is quite good

@tabletopcp very good, very true answear. Based on my experience from some competitions - have you ever thought about having another guy in the room as a non-side judge? This would make such rulebook-trolls (like me) more content as there would be a judge to blame for all the mistakes :D

@@barteksobieranski5025 I will sometimes play the role. There is a lot going on during these games. Playing the game, keeping things moving, filming the game with multiple cameras, interacting with the live stream. It gets hectic and the longer things go the more mistakes are made. There are a lot of mistakes corrected that you dont see as well. We get a lot of rules help from live stream viewers in real time which is nice.

Marathon game and I think draw was a fair result. Did Travis consider keeping the "down" dice at the end of the turn 5/6 for the units in the centre and on his R flank. Both units would have shed all pins and would probably have gone "down" anyway. I was amazed that all the Hannomags survived, shame that you didn't bring a SU-85 rather than the ISU-122, but, being a keen fan of your channel, I know how Travis loves the his 3" HE. Great board.

1:47:11 machine gun could have fired, as you may spring ambush for each unit separately regarding the moment you spring the ambush. You may have asked him to position the models just before the wall and after your shooting he could have finished the move with the models he still have up and running....

I thought to take other platoons you needed multiple rifle platoons. Example rifle platoon and heavy weapons platoon. Then for your tanks wouldn't you need one? Thanks

I might be wrong but I think a rifle platoon can have up to one of each kind of other platoon . If you want multiple optional platoons then you need more rifle platoons

It’s one support platoon per rifle platoon. You only need a second rifle platoon if you wanted bring say a second armored platoon.

For example, if you want to field two Armoured Platoons, you’ll need two Rifle Platoons,

It’s a mission in the rule book which is essentially all of the balanced mission type objectives in one game, with a few tweaks.

Even with the 3rd edition rules, BA still doesn't understand the lethality and accuracy of anti tank guns, mortars and HE howitzer. Rules like ASL and ATS more accurately captures this part of the action. Plus light, medium and heavy machine guns are far more deadlier then the BA rules depict. The SU122 is a great example of this. In a firefight like this it would be obiterating the German halftracks and squads. It would not be missing most of it shots by 100 yards lol. And its gun is definitely a heavy , not medium, howitzer. I've developed my own special rules for to hit and lethality of hits when I play BA. I enjoy the game so much more knowing my modified rules makes the game play more realistic. Absolutely hate hate hate the save rule. Once you're hit deal with the immediate consequences.
