Wow, the effect of that rocket's near miss was pretty devastating - you probably would have had trouble inflicting that much shock on the unit if it had actually exploded on target lol Was just some really bad luck with its trajectory passing over everyone and then rolling high on the shock numbers. Great battle guys!

A brilliant game lads and wonderfully done as usual - definitely enjoying the sounds effects and graphics. As to help answer your question: A group firing at a formation acts the same as if a formation firing at a formation. If shots are being made at a formation then they are always split down throughout the formation. However, if a group within the formation would be considered “out of range” then (if I’m remembering correctly) it’s that you roll for said groups as being 1 level of cover (2 if already in cover). Essentially it’s still following the ideas that the shots keep going as irl, however they are very much less likely to actually do anything (tho it wasn’t unknown for random shots to skip through the ranks and hit someone deep in a formation while completely missing the 2-5 guys infront of him)

@@tabletopcp yup, anything firing at a formation (groups, Skirmishers, cannons, mounted men, officers with pistols - sometimes it’s fun to have your independent officers and sergeants with their muskets and pistols add some shots into the game when not directing the battle) will split hits amongst all groups. If a group is out of range, they take them as if being in cover like Skirmishers. I think it’s done so that: Groups are more manoeuvrable and wiely but don’t deliver much of a hard punch as a formation of men firing a volley. Whist formations or clunky to move and take up a lot of room and are big targets. However, their ability to take shots and delivers hammer punches out make them more than valuable. I think a good way to see this in actions is to play a Civil War game where you have a confederate force (or union) set in a large pre-game formations. This units objective is to punch through a simple set of fences at the opposite end of a field defended by 3 groups of union Skirmishers or 3 groups of union line (however split into groups). It’ll show that small groups have that advantage of stopping and getting around the larger ones, however getting much out of them individually you’ll be asking a bit against a large formation. However, that large formation while it’ll take those shots, will slowly begin to waver and slow down and if leaders start popping off it’ll become harder to control/keep together.

Wow! What a wild game! There were so many ways this game could of gone, but I found myself wishing you would have positioned my rifles on the conscript's flank. Since you split the line anyways, you could have used Cox's men to guard my flank. I would have put Luke and Dan behind the hard cover, and concentrated all the fire on the conscripts. As it was, you came so close to breaking them. The luck leaned towards Andre, especially with the cards in the beginning, and in the charge combats. It was fun to watch, except when my rifles took friendly fire, and I got knocked down. I did get up, but in the end, my rifles were neutralized. Better luck next time, lads!

The closes would be Lard Paradise = Paraiso de las Mantecas de Cerdo, which as a town name does not make sense, but if we must have a name like that I would give it a name such as (Villa or Pueblo ( small town ) ), Pueblo Mantecas de Cerdo, which doesn't give a much of a prestige to the name of a town. I would prefer a proper name and then a location in the town like a market. Pueblo San Pedro and the market: Mercado or Plaza El Paraiso de las Mantecas de Cerdo. I hope this helps. Cheers
