Space Marines vs T'au Empire | Warhammer 40k | ONSLAUGHT Battle Report

Failing to eliminate the imperial ordinance Shadow suns T’au forces have been pushed back into the relative safety of this ruined city.
However, the hunter has become the hunted.
The Raven guard infamous for their cunning and subterfuge have laid a devastating trap for the T’au.
Now cut off from their battle suits and heavier guns the space marines will cut down their infantry and slay their ethereal plunging the T’au command structure into chaos.
Yet there is hope for the T’au…
Shadowsun has received an unbelievable response to her sos it could mean salvation is at hand and the return of a prodigal son.
For Commander Farsight has answered the call for aid.
Is this the help the T’au need or another trick from the dreaded imperium.
Today’s scenario is a custom cut off the head mission.
Each player scores victory points for slaying each others warlord.
Additional points are awarded to the T’au for Assassin slain and for the Space Marines each commander eliminated.

I run two sets of eliminators with and instigator carbine in each. Play it in firestorm detachment is so much fun. S6 snipers, move advance shoot move, stealth. They are unbelievably annoying and great for picking out random characters and nabbing objectives

Great las fusil party bus in firestorm Otherwise, cloaking them with phobos libs is good in anvil where they want to sit still for devastating wounds and a +1 to wound really carries them

I wanna see a massive game of tyranids vs guard. Custom game rules, trenches set up for the guard and wave set up for tyranids. Tyranids win if they reach the opposite side of the board but can only deploy so much of their army at a time. Guard is deployed in trenches along the way. Each trench would be an OBJ that can be burnt by the tyranids. Each trench will mark a new expansion to the tyranid deployment zone once it’s captured. The idea being the tyranids get to over run the guard and get farther up the board. You’d get to break out a bunch of guard infantry and artillery. Tyranids score 2 VP if they reach the guards edge of the board. Guard automatically starts with 1 VP. Simple fun, but it’d be a long game.

I find it really weird that there have been no good batreps of the Firestorm Assault Force. I get that it’s not as strong as the Ironstorm or Gladius and no one’s figured out how to “break” it like John Lennon did with the Vanguard Spearhead, but everyone was talking about how much fun and how good the Firestorm is when the codex first released. And yet no one’s made a good batrep for it. I mean, Play On did one but their list was… not good.

Because it requires specific list building that no one seems to grasp and everyone immediately runs it as salamanders, and then take adrax over he-stan. Uriel ventris is a key unit for deepstriking something into your enemies face, like centurions or aggressors. Legends units are also helpful; a Spartan can fit 14 gravis models, meaning 6 aggressors with captain and 6 eradicators with biologis. Deimos predator is dirt cheap and has a solid turret melta or flame cannon Winterseo did a good video of firestorm against deathguard. Sidenote, I don't think I've seen a Play On list I actually liked 100%

When the pathfinders shot with the rail rifles, they hit on 3+ (base 5+) so can you stack the heavy and greater good buffs (as to hit rolls can't be modified by more than +1/-1)? Is it because the greater good specifically modifies the BS rather than the roll? New to 10th edition so learning

Hey team. Quick rules based Q please. At 40:16 your eliminators target the Tau Devilfish. They shoot over some ruins. This, to me makes sense. The Eliminators are set up high for just such a thing. My regular opponents always say I cannot do this as the ruins are LOS blocking. To me, this seems silly - you can't have something LOS blocking all the way up to space/infinity. Playing it their way really limits the opportunity for things like Eliminators to target anything, to the point I rarely bring them to a game now. Would you be able to suggest who is right here? Thanks :D
