@@collincarlson3932 I would suggest Necrons. They have a good modern range of models, a few different players styles and showcase all 40k elements. GK are an elite army with an old model range and quite a high skill army that takes a lot to learn.

Grey Knights and Necrons. Literally my favorite Chapter and Faction. The Grey Knights are my favorite group period, and Necrons are my favorite faction in general. I always love seeing them at the table and if I could build any army; it would be pure Grey Knights.

Fun game, good showcasing for each army. I personally prefer Canoptek Court, with Szeras and a CTan. Szeras' aura and rerolls with the tesla immortals, or even gauss immortals is so good. Szeras is basically a CTan, but gets rerolls and can be protected by strats. Wraiths get rerolls and infiltrate, plus the movement strat is really good with them. Doomstalkers with rerolls and a spyder for the FNP. Some heavy Lokhusts to pop vehicles/monsters. Maybe Hypercrypt is stronger/more competitive, but I just love rolling dice and the court gives so many rerolls.

@@bradleygunther5722 GK are not broken. They have one play style which is thematic and requires incredibly high skill to pull off. It can be countered. If they were broken you’d see them at every top table like Necrons, Aeldari, Sisters, CSM etc.

Great Batrep! GK are one of my favourite armies at the moment! Deep strike does count as a normal move however so you can use mists to get away from it!

The Designers Commentary explicitly states units arriving from Deep Strike cannot trigger abilities and Stratagems that are used after a unit makes a Normal Move 🙂 -Chef

Fantastic to watch However I Just noticed that you didn't reduce the damage to Crowe when the death marks shot him. He took 4 but really should have only taken 2 wounds Also unless I missed something you didn't do the anti infantry 4+ on the purifiers you should have done mortal wounds in the 1st turn

nice terrain and nice backdrop display. had the same problem of the carpenters laying the LED strips leaning towards the insides and turns out the miniatures displayed look really dark. was it on purpose for studio recording purposes?

Well balance it for both. All of the scenery blocks also count as LOS blocking, so it’s a pretty competitive setup too.

Not 100% sure but it looked like necrons in round 4 deep struck onto objectives which I thought the mission rule didnt allow.

You can't deep strike onto Objectives in No Man's Land or your opponents Deployment Zone, but as the Objective was in mine, per the Scrambler Fields it was allowed. This was noted in a pop up on the top down view when it happened 🙂 -Chef

Not that it mattered, but just want to point out that you forgot to use Foresight of the Prognosticars on Crowe, meaning that the first time he would lose the 2 wounds, he would instead have received none. The Devil Crowe is on 3 wounds remaining, not 1 ;)

Scrambler applies to Scout, Infiltrate, any Reserves, and any redeploys, which I'd argue the T C’tan counts as doing 🙂 -Chef

Mists is explicitly when a unit finishes a Normal Move, Advance or Fall Back within 9" of the unit, so by definition it can't as Deep Strikes have to be over 9" away. That and the latest Designer's Commentary says things like Deep Strike don't count as Normal Moves for abilities such as Mists 🙂 -Chef

Correct, but given you don't score Turn 1 it's often better to pull the Objectives back so you aren't just giving them to your opponent to control early on

When you roll a 1 on vortex of doom you do not get feel no pain against it becouse its not an attack. Sanctic hood only works against psychic attacks and this is same with Typhus ability.

Per the Designers Commentary, any wounds inflicted by a Psychic Ability counts as a Psychic Attack 🙂

First turn of the Necrons, the Strike Squad would have only saved on 4s, because only one got cover, and Lawrence specifically did not save with him.

Strike Squads have a 2+ Sv, and Spider used Truesilver Armour, reducing the AP-2 to AP-1, thus 3+ Svs 🙂
