@Jyoo6096 жыл бұрын
Xanthus Lim Chinese don't particularly like loud eating, they just eat and chew and make sounds without realizing it. Same does for Koreans and some other Asian countries. It's just not a big deal. I've only heard Japanese make loud noises when eating ramen. Some say it's phasing out but I still hear it a plenty in ramen shops. Basically it's just not something people in Asia are conscience about until they go overseas and get criticized for it.

The 2 finger salute in the UK did not come from archers having their fingers chopped off, it's fiction, not only that the fingers should be apart like a reverse peace sign. Sorry but with all this inaccuracy it makes me doubt that you fact check anything. I'm British. I can confirm the fingers should be apart. Also, it's not quite as rude as the middle finger - it's a little antiquated now, we've adopted the middle finger as the main swear sign, I'd guess due to Americanisation. I too have heard that the archery thing is a myth. I travelled to 4 countries in Asia (5 including mine) and when I did this to my friends I made in those countries they were asking on what I was doing. Also for Filipinos we don’t smack our fucking lips? That isn’t even a thing, eating quietly with our mouth closed is what our elders tell us which I assume is what you Americans do and we consider disrespectful to be eating with your mouth open and making noisy sounds while eating. But I guess I have to let this slip since you’re presumably an American and it really isn’t wise for an American to speak for people with major differences in race, culture, and ethics. Uh red in Asia doesn't symbolizes death wtf, red symbolizes luck hence the reason why Chinese new year or Vietnamese new year uses red decor. White or black is the color that symbolizes death, at least in Vietnam it does
@FistDaMonkey7 жыл бұрын
pink gui it's true to some degree (Korea and parts of China) that using red ink to write personal letters and stuff is taboo. But your argument about how red symbolizes good fortune means it can't symbolize death doesn't hold much weight. Depending on the context, colours can represent a lot of things, green is the color for greed and money in USA but it also is the color for sustainability and renewability in energy. It means can represent nature as well as envy. Colours represent many things. Red can symbolize passion, anger, lust etc

In my opinion (I'm British btw) the thumb, forefinger and middle finger symbol isn't offensive at all. The UK equivalent to the middle finger in the US is.. The middle finger?

i think they meant the reverse peace sign but couldn't be bothered to read the entire wiki article...
@AlbaRecoil6 жыл бұрын
The two's up is like a less offensive middle finger gesture. Basically the peace sign backwards, not sure how he managed to get it wrong lol.

EverythingDisney, the video is wrong. Just because something on the internet said something does not mean that it is automatically true.

he's an idiot, Soldiers used to hitchhike everywhere with a thumb up but after kidnappings by arabs, army band it for soldiers. the wait signal with your hand, like making a beak with your fingers and thumb pointed up is like a middle finger in italy

The fingers aren't together in the British hand gesture, knuckles facing out. If it's done at a angle it means Victory or if knuckles face the person doing it it is the peace symbol

I dont know anyone in England who's gonna hit ya if you point two fingers at them. However, as a British person, i would be offended if you gave me the middle finger.

Pluto Bailey You clearly don't live in England or live in the most sheltered Christian ass school or household in the country 🙃
