Thanks for the review! What is the weight of the board?

You're using the tuttle box for that foil right? Not the tracks?
@tomifin61312 жыл бұрын
Yes, you are right. I only had tuttle foils back then.

@@tomifin6131 Thanks. I'm about to order a new foil, but I'm trying to avoid using the tuttle. I measured, and the furthest back I can put the foil on the tracks is still about 8cm forward of then center of the tuttle box. Using a modern fuse from Axis, where the mast does sit a little closer to the front wing, using the foremost windsurf foot straps inserts position, and the mast track slightly further forward than center... do you think I can get away with JUST the tracks? Assuming a sail no bigger than 6.0?

@@PinchTune HI, I belive you are good to go. Wingfoil/platefoils typically need to be guite a bit further forward for the reason you described. I do have one Axis foil, but unfortunately I can't give it a try before next year due to surgery operation I just had😢

very interesting, thanks for sharing !!!! it seems like a really enjoyable board to ride, any idea of the maximum sail size you can use on it ? I understand not best for 8_10knot wind range but i thought this was more a question of having a large front wing...being 66Kgs I believe this could work well for me with sails of MAX 7.0m2 ??? any thoughts ?

Hi, person who is about 60kg tried board with 7.5m2 a said it was OK. So I think it should be good for you. Short shape makes it bit sticky in light wind, but when you learn to keep your weight little more backwards while pumping it releases quite easily. I see there's now also lighter version available for 2021 season.

It!s about 9kg.

Hi Tomi. Thanks for sharing your very nice testing video. You write, that it is not your first choice for very light wind. Which one would it be then? Cheers Josef

Hi, I would go for something longer that can take large sails over 8.0m2. I have I-99 foilslalom which is 91cm wide and 210cm long and can be used even with 10m2 sail.

I have 177 starboard foil and iq foil. Di you recomend me this board for 16 to 22 knots with wave Sails? It is suitable with iq 115 plus or 95 fuselage? Thank you
@tomifin61313 жыл бұрын
Board works nicely in 16-22 knots with wave sails, but I think 115+ moves front wing way too forwad. However, I'm sure that with slalom fuselage it should work ok.

@@tomifin6131 Is the mach1 gaastra foil 2020 more suitable for this board? I just bought it and have problemss to insert the screws into the supercruiser mast. Thank you!
@tomifin61313 жыл бұрын
@@ESP114 you mean Mach1 to your 177 board? If so, this year model will work better as it's little higher aspect than 2020.
