Like someone has already told you, headbutter does insane damage. She can one-shot a harvester occasionally, there's no way she's worse than squire. Easily one of the best starter units, if not the best

@@Ninjago-012 squires deal less damage than sarissa headbutter, are more expensive and less accurate than headbutters. Their health doesn't even matter because they still get one shot by most weapons. Headbutters are also better against ranged because they're faster

i'm glad Landfall buffed the Knight and Jarl. the Knight used to be pretty pathetic for an insane 900 and the Jarl was a weaker King that was a tad bit slower. now the Knight is on par with other tank units and the Jarl is insanely good for it's price

also, the Ballooner is insanely good in swarms and is a great distraction unit. I've seen them defeat Kings, even Cacti, and other units like the Jarl because of its explosion and attack-cancelling ability (its most overpowered ability in my opinion). additionally, when they float up, they distract units because they want to try and attack the ballooner up in the air but can't reach him, creating a huge opening for ranged and siege units to fire on them or for melee units to attack them in the meanwhile pair it up with other decent-good units and you'll guarantee a victory on most levels.

headbutter has good dmg, brawler is basically a higher dmg version of hoplite, ballooner is great versus strong melee units, same with cupid, chariot is very high aoe damage, skeleton giant's effect is great in a ton of situations, basically a shouter effect, but even bigger and has good health and damage and sacred elephant is not bad versus very strong ranged units. also wheelbarrow does nothing and is the worst unit in the game

@@TickletimeTom-sc9dtnow don’t get me wrong I have played a trial on tabs and I do think the harvesters are really good mini boss units but even then they’re usage is greatly dependent on enemy units. Some units like the jester, taekwondo, minator, gauntlets, boxers, deathbringers, sometimes chieftains, and berserkers counters her due to their faster attack speed and their health. Plus the harvesters can do good against fodder units with low health but there’s so many units that can tank her attack.

For those wondering about the reason for the look or name of Deadeye, it’s just one big RDR2 reference from the name (ability to slow down time and mark enemies), abilities (same as name) and clothing (possible reference to Saddie Adler)

I disagree about brawler for sure (partly because it's my favourite unit) but it has decent health (could do with a bit more) but the shield is just big enough to block most (arrow) projectiles and the axe 🪓 is powerfull there a close combat king! 🤴 (my oppinion)

Cupid and ballooner are super peasant's worst nightmares, there's no way they're worthless lol. Cupid counters almost every strong unit, except for the anti-ranged ones. Ballooners are additionally good at crowd control due to their meteor ability.

I’d rather say Cupid than ballooner because he’s stupid fast so It’d be way too difficult for the ballooner so I’d rather use the balloon archer instead. And Cupid is only effective against him when he’s not AWOL or active but they have such low damage it’d take like 15 minutes just to kill SP

Ballooners are really really good. i've messed with them a lot vs other cheap melee units (squires, hoplite etc) and they are really cost effective.

The brawler outfights most melee units when both sides are equal cost. They in small groups can deal heavy damage to melee hero units (king, captain) and medium cost tanks like the knight or harvester. Probably the best fodder on fodder unit, though for balancing it should be 200 instead of 220.

Headbutters are great one-shot first line of fodder/cheap Mele units and make a few lines of them they can take a whole lot of enemies if you make the lines have a bit of seperation in terms of depth Brawlees are way stronger than hoplites and the price is fine, there axes slide across the hoplites shield often and hit the hoplites in the head, hoplites shield works against light swords and arrows

I agreed with all the picks for the most part and loved your knowledge of the units but the spearmen can take care of a lot of stronger units due to their high damage and dragons have a weakness called ranged but I liked the video overall.

Minotaur is so bad lol, the only thing he's remotely good at is distracting ranged units, even then there are better alternatives. Such as the wheelbarrow dragon, which you ranked as situational, even though it's insane against weak and medium units, ranged or not, you deal heavy aoe damage just by travelling.

Captain is like worthless, he underperfroms even in 1v1s, which is his strongest point. Like, he often loses to the king in a 1v1, gets destroyed by swarms and ranged. Sure, he's cool and all, but that doesn't make him less useless in a campaign. Why use him when you have king or jarl as better, way better alternatives?

Mainly because he’s the only melee and ranged unit in the game. Tho yeah the gun is the only thing that carries him and even that doesn’t do much because he has to actually aim it to make it work and while he’s reloading all he has is just one sword to parry units and his health is not helping him.

in my honest opinion, i'd put the Vampire in average or even effective. in massive swarms, they can just shred through boss units, even The King and Pirate Queen. also, range armies are nearly worthless against Vampires since they move so fast and their attack movement is a bit unpredictable to hit.

Heres a fun fact in the dev logs and trailers for farmer faction the harvester originally had the Reaper slash or well aversion of it but o think it got removed because it was to op for a farmer faction but of course when the spooky faction come they did give the Reaper his aoe slash that the harvester was originally gonna have

Halfling should definitely be higher, his small hit box combined with the lounge makes it super hard to get rid of haflings, giving your ranged units a lot more time to attack, and sure, peasant might be cheaper, but they are a lot slower and much more easy to hit. Great tier list though, keep up the good work!

The issue is that’s his only niche, most boss units like jarl can trap him in the ice barriers and limit his movement, often times if he doesn’t time his dodges he gets obliterated. Halfing, pheasant, and cactus swarms are his counters. He’s only good against 1v1s and he’s food for range and siege units. Heck the wheelbarrow can beat him

Problems in the upper tiers Hwacha below ballista. Hwacha can nearly kill an ice giant in one volley and also has crowd control Tanks. Tanks cost 6k but it just rushes in and dies. Maybe getting off 2 shots if you’re lucky or controlling it

I prefer the clams over scarecrows mainly because they’re cheaper, summon faster, and the clams can draw attention so they can be pretty good support and that not considering cheerleaders because they can make a wave of clams that no enemy can fight through.

@@Cronchychomp they have buffed the squire a LOT after you made this video and i respect your opinion but now with the buff that the squires got which made their accuracy much much better(before they would always miss their first swing) and now i cant see why you would use farmers or clubbers since if you want to kill something the squire does better like all the time and if you want distraction against a bunch of archers you can use halflings and if you want distract splash unit both squires and halflings work and im saying squire does good against splash cuz it has the most health out of all cheap units also incase you dont know farmers have much less health then the halflings, but i could see why sometimes you would need farmers just dont think they're better then the squires

Sacred elephant is decent in my opinion.T's angelic spears does insane damage and has a annoying warp ability who is also fired twice at a time.And the elephant can kill low tier units very quick.

Even though I know this is your opinion, but some of them were placed wrong. Balloner is not worthless, but it is the most underate unit, he has a secret invicible ability combine with his attack that can make unit can not attack in a few second just like the Chronomancer. He can literally stops the Super Peasant just by himself combine with the power of Cupid or Witch, you can kill the Super Peasant with a really low price cost. The Cupid is also not worthless. It makes unit can not attack and can attack it own allies, but the damage is low. The headbutter does not do low damage, she can sometimes inflict a massive amount of damage to the enemy, so it is a decent unit even with low health. Why do you say Sacred Elephant is weak. It is a good unit because of its damage. The spear deals high damage with dual wield and faster reload time than a normal spear. The spear can also suck units in. The Skeleton Giant is good, it has the second strongest kick the entire game. Every unit who gets close to its legs with recieve a lot of damage. The Shadow Walker is another underate unit. He is bad when he attacks alone, but insane when he attack with a large amount of them. Because his damage can deal increase damage. Everytime he hits he deals more damage. For an example, the first hit will deal 150, the second will deal 50 more damage (200), third 250, fourth 300, etc... So you can posess the Super Peasant and let the army of Shadow Walker attack. You will suprise how fast the Super Peasant dies. That's all of my change about the tier list.

I personally would put Thor on at least effective because he can take out large crowds very easily and is also a tank and a hero killer all in one, he can take out (in a 1v1 situation) monkey king, mammoth, king, Ullr, quickdraw, jarl, death bringer, sacred elephant, lady red jade, sensei, and can easily destroy any fodder units clumped together with his lighting attack including hoplites brawlers, and pretty much any unit under 200 gold gets one shotted by him

umm this only my opinion but i think shogun is powerful because first of all his hurricane slash damage is % so he is effective on units who have more likely infinite health and he can also kill the ice giant because the damage of his hurricane slash on ice giant is 45% unlike other units who is only 15% and he is also very good in low health units so yeah and he can also deflect 20 projectiles at the same time his only weakness is he has low health and kicking units

why is protector two tiers below the shieldbearer? Protector has higher combat effectiveness, at the cost of less protection and a lower cost (which is a good thing). You let their roman astetic influence your judgement! Also why is headbutter so low, when they occasionally crit-multihit their opponent for massive damage, cleaving even the knights health? and while the Longboat is definitely situational, Just play on the right map- where you can clip it on terrain. that makes it an unstoppable earthquake!

Well the Protector just doesn't do as well as blocking range units as the shield bearer, and that makes him not that good imo, especially since they are way better options, like the Cactus, Blunderbuss, or samurai. Like so many units are way more better at their job than the Protector.

Longship is effective because the paddle men paddle does a lot of damage and can kill a lot of high health units. Also fan bearers aren't worthless they can keep most melee units out of range allowing you to let your range units finish them off. I'll say they're effective imo, shouters are better though. The Lasso is a very good distraction unit even better than the wheelbarrow since it cost less, he's very good at disrupting range and melee units so he's effective imo. Chariots aren't worthless, yeah it gets stuck on the smaller maps but when it has room it's one of the best crowd control/distraction units. It has quite a lot of health so it's very good at destroying swarms of fodder units. So it's definitely effective.

Longships friendly fire is an issue, sure you get five units but the fact that it can kill your units aswell makes it a double edged sword, plus a lot of units can send the ship backwards. Fan bearers barely get usage without cheerleaders and the low damage doesn’t help much either. I agree on the lasso and chariot tho but I’d say the lasso is more effective than the chariot due to the horse having better mobility.

@@jaidentavira4062 Those are fair points. I think the best way to prevent the friendly fire from the longship is to use some banner bearers to keep units away. I feel like fanbearers are effective because if you use them with some other distraction and support units it becomes situational to very effective. The low damage makes sense because it's meant to stall and let your range units finish off the enemy. I'll agree with you saying the lasso is better because it's way cheaper and more effective. No unit is useless in this game they're just underutilized or just situational.

Chariots are absolutely worthless. The only maps it has space to do something on is legacy and simulation. Nothing else. And even still I'd rather place jousters or EVEN wheelbarrows instead of chariots because of its price. And chariot doesn't even have that much hp, it gets one tapped by a cannon.

the monk is the best tank in the game for its cost. it has the highest hp to cost ratio and high weight. it has high knock back and area so it can live even longer and swarms dont work.

I don't think cupid is good because it's a big cost investment for little value. Sure, they turn units, but it is easier to get the same damage equivalent by placing down damage dealers instead.

Last time I checked just one Cupid stunlocks units as big as the king. Sure it would take a LONG time to kill them unless you use more, but it will die eventually. Plus the map could speed up the process: Solo units keep wandering forward and eventually on most maps they just fall of the edge

Sensei should be powerful tier and banshee should be effictive because the banshee can hold the unit in the air and throw him back and uses his AOE abillity that lets him do a bunch of damage and it can walk backwards and the sensei is now more powerful then the shogun and sensei does his tornado shuriken abillity but i think The sensei needs a health buff

Ullr no longer has aoe freeze, now he's just a worse sensei (only has aoe knockback, which isn't that good and doesn't save him from getting beat down by a horde of peasants). Situational if not worthless.

6:44 what went wrong? I remember in the old versions of tabs, the first campaign we used to just spam these dudes and they were overpowered. Were they nerfed? (I would probably put them in situational only because they are cheap, fast enough, a good cannon fodder and a whole heap can knock down a ballista by crowding it. 7:58 I agree, they are in desperate need of a buff

I think it's because the clubbers and fsrmer were buffed, which nerfed the squire indirectly. Additionally, a lot more crowd control units were introduced, which also destroyd squires usability.

Actually peasant doesn't deserve to be that high yes is cheap but because is cheap is very very very very weak even if you put them in large number it still would not work because enimies have much better unit compared to peasant like for example if they kill 1 samurai that already lost like 26 unit after that 1 kill many people that use the army peasant tactic always fails like everytime I never found 1 vedio guy use this tactic and win never peasant is worthless is useless
