Like you, I've been cutting my own hair for a long time. Probably since I was 15 and I'm 23 now. It's mostly because I don't trust anyone. I feel like if anyone is going to "mess up" my hair, it's going to be me. I take great care of my hair and that's all that matters. :]

This reminded me i need to cut my hair. i cut my own because i have curly hair, and hair dressers always fuss and tell me that i should have long layers other wise its going to look horrible, and no matter what end up cutting it more to their liking. Hello...hairstylist here. Go to someone trendy... (Not an old lady...) when asking for this cut . Pictures definitely help. You would say that you want "short choppy disconnected layers, with the length kept long" but remember... You need to have the same/similar hair texture as Tabby to achieve this exact look!!

@tabs24x7Official just say that you want a mullet with longer layers, that's what I did last year and it worked out pretty fantastically. Mention a side shave with your bangs left out and that should handle the shorter side. :)

You can pretty much do this hair style for any type of hair but make sure it is blended well and get it cut with a razor for better texture. Also if you have wavy or curly hair you can still do this style but you need to straighten your hair so it's better. If you have curly out of control hair I suggest getting a relaxer. And if you go to a hair stylist take a picture or show her how long or short you want your layers. Only bad thing about cutting it yourself is not always well blended and you might cut it a bit too short on one side. Hope this helps :) I am a hair stylist so if you need further explaining or any help you can ask. :)

What kind of hair do you have? I know that sounds like a weird question, but do you have thin straight hair? Or do you straighten it? My hair is really thin, naturally pin straight, and does nothing naturally. It barely even holds curl. I've found that layers sometimes don't work with thin hair because of how much body it doesn't have. I'd love to have your cut but I'm just curious of your hair type before I get it. Thank you Tabby
