Tabu is relevant because she didn't care about being seen. She kept doing the work she liked, hits and flops didn't matter. And today she's reached a point where every film she does, eventually becomes her film. A career spanning across 30 years, she still has so much to offer. I would love to see more of these, maybe with Rani Mukerji next.

For every question about what is the secret behind, when she starts answering I feel she is just being graceful and saying the usual lines everyone says but few moments later I realize that she is still answering the question and it's not the usual lines, there is more to it than what she starts with. I went and watched Bhool bhulaiya 2 because of her. She is really good. I've been loving the way she is being part of family entertainers like Dhrisyam, De de pyaar de, bhool bhulaiyaa 2, ala vaikuntham puramaloo, golmaal 4, etc. I was always curious why she was not being casted in mainstream movies as she had shown how good she is hera pheri, chenni kum, etc. It is really delightful to watch the way she gets fits in any kind of role. Back then when people were not so politically correct, no one in media ever worried about Tabu ! Big fan of Tabu. I think she doesn’t need a director to make an impact, but why was there almost no mention of Gulzar. He was in many ways responsible for exposing the incredible talent of Tabu to us nineties kids

I was wondering about it too. Gulzar, Vishal, Irfan and Tabu were like a family and skipping Gulzar seemed odd.
