A ton of scripts from around the world are descendants of the proto-sinaitic script, which derives many of its letters from Egyptian hieroglyphs. Latin, greek, Arabic, Mongolian, Hindu, Manchu, and many, many others. Both the Amazigh and Tamil scripts are descended from the Aramaic script, itself a descended of Proto-Sinaitic. Similarities you see might not be coincidence
