Tack Tip: Making Leather Rein Connectors

Hi do you guys have a video of how to restore leather reins ? I have dog leashes made of reining leather but they have been sitting and are dried out and have mildew built up on it and I want to restore them

Please respect the tradition and don't use split reins with a spade bit. The small hole is made for chains.
