I use ziplock plastic cannisters for my crankbaits. Hook covers or rubber bands to tie hooks down. Can hold up to about 30. Freed up a bunch of Planos.

Great clasp. Rigid interior shelves. kzbin.infoUgkxBrJOMRANMI82dPOK0qoDtHhP-JpbErUg Yeah the shelves sometimes get misaligned with their supports in the lid if you don't have the lid fully flat, or you twist the shelves as you're pulling them out, but pretty much a non issue; just reseat and you're fine. Some spools of thread are a little too big and cause the shelves to not close all the way, however with the clasp you can still get the lid locked if the shelves aren't completely collapsed without breaking things ... so far.

I put those “DO NOT EAT” desiccant packs from electronics/etc. in all my boxes (except soft plastics) to help slow down any rust on my hooks and lures and so on.

I kinda just build/modified a tool cabinet to sort all my stuff out, everything is labeled. As for utility boxes I have a bunch of them in various sizes. I usually pack everything the night before I leave in the utility boxes so I only bring what I need/want. My father and grandfather always did it that way, so it kinda just made sense to me. Makes you think about what fishing you want to do the next day, and also makes it a lot easier to not over buy on random lures/tackle imo. though I admit I have all the lures meant to catch a fisherman.

Great video Sir Burly! I really appreciate it. I've finally got my boat. Now I'm looking at storage options. Loving the Plano Edge system. I'll look it up. SINCE YOU ASKED I am also intrigued by the Buzbe boxes. I love the idea of the removable trays so that I can pop trays in and out to create a lures of the day box (trout/Bass/Walleye). The only caution I would give to you or others is that Norton marks their direct website as HIGH RISK. They are available on other sites though. PS - hope your son is alright! lol

I got 2 tackle boxes. The neon green Flambeau brand. I ordered one and it showed up cracked but still usable and the guy sent me another one. That's how I got 2. I keep the broken one in my closet and keep backup lures in it.

Great video as always! I have a liftetime tamarack kayak and I plan on focusing on walleyes, crappies and ultralight fishing this year. I like the plano fishing double sided tackle boxes. On one side I can put my terminal tackle and on the other side I can put my soft plastic.

for a non waterproof one, I like the gamakatsu g-box 3700. The one issue with it is there isn't enough dividers included to really use the space that it has. They don't seem to sell the dividers themself either. The 3600 series g-box everything is removable including the inner walls making them very flexible and can cause the dividers just to pop loose. So I only use the 3700. Bought two 3700 and use all the dividers in one box for a terminal tackle storage at home just to keep it organized. Being it stays home I can overload it just to grab what I need from it and go.

Just got some Plano edge boxes 3700,3600 and the jig one. It was definitely worth the money. I don't put my expensive guitars in cheap flimsy cases. Same goes with my fishing tackle. I'm gonna take the extra step to protect the tackle I have.

I know this is a little late. I only bank fish and I found that a backpack is the best option. I picked up a spiderwire bag at Meijer for 60$ and I love it. It makes moving around so much easier.

Tip for you Bass Mafia tackle box. I put all my hooks on Safety Pins, facing the same direction and they won’t get tangled.

I tried the Plano Edge Terminal tackle box after i was tired of using my Mafia version. never looked back. So much easier IMO to get weights out of the Edge over those dumb coffins.

You may have covered this, but I have a question for you...With these tackle boxes, do you have a preferred method of storing and/or travelling with them? What I mean is, do you prefer a backpack or a bag, and do you have a preferred brand you might recommend? I used to trout fish with my dad all the time, but stopped after he died of cancer; I am thinking of taking it up again. I hope to get a boat someday, but for now, I plan on doing some trout and bass fishing (fly fishing and spin casting) in rivers and streams in Connecticut. My dad left me his old tackle box, but it doesn't hold much and I really like the products you demonstrated in this video. If you have the time, could you get back to me on this?

Thanks for the sub, and sorry to hear about your Dad. I prefer the Cabela's / Bass Pro XL fishing bag. Thing is HUGE and holds up to 9 - 3700 size tackle trays, plus line, plastics and tools. It's a beast and I take it everywhere.

On the waterproof flambeau boxes it’s really easy to pop off the side latches and just have one in the middle. I did that for a long time.

I bought one of those boxes that comes with some fake bate and a ton of different hooks. I feel like I need more than what’s in there. I don’t really use fake bate all that much so I feel like I probably need more spare line hooks and sinkers but idk.

Great video and channel. New subscriber. You can also use those little absorbent packages you get in everything now in your boxes to control moisture. Don't know how they compare in price to the Edge moisture block, but you can buy them online. Or just save the ones you receive in shipments.

I have not, but I have looked into it. Just doesn't work for me the way I fish in my kayak. I'm pretty particular about my set up. Looks like a solid box though

Because of you I bought a few Plano edge boxes and I decided to buy thier tackle box too. I like the coffin, but I have way too much terminal to fit in the box. I checked out buzbe but wasn't a fan and they were expensive and said preorder.. I just need something for my used loose plastics, I just pile them up right now. What do you guys do with your used plastics that are still good, do you put them back in the bags?

I like the edge boxes, but just don't agree with the cost. Maybe once the new wears off and they drop by about 20%. Ever tried lure lock? Think I'm going to try that triple stack box for my cranks.

I don’t know man everyone is freaking out about all these new boxes like the Gruv and the Plano Edge series and I just can’t justify paying $30 for a box when the $5 ones work just fine. I have to say I like how the Edge has just the one latch. I wish they made more varieties of fixed compartment boxes. Those damn tabs can get annoying lol

Using a go pro, no other lense on it. I’ve tried shooting on an iPhone too and it just wasn’t as good. Ideally I’ll get another camera in the future
