I run a c-40 but with a rapala scimitar. The rod has the longer rear end and the comfort grip, would really recommend that set up. Works amazing together

Not really a fan of the ducket rods, had a problem with a few breaking on me but quantum reels are extremely good. Still definitely a high quality combo for the price.

Lake Halcyon (The Izaak Walton League of America) is a tough place to fish specially when they stock trout on spring and u find every piece of shore with old guys with 4 or more rods with line and still bait in the water while they sit on chair sitting forever. lol Nice video

Thank you for watching, I am really glad I could help in some way! So far I have no complaints, I think time will be the real test here. If the parts and paints begin to deteriorate, I'll update everyone! So far drag works really well, even with braid .. As you saw. And the rod handles that braid with no issue.. It's ultra sensitive and i really tested it out for strength. Passed!

Owen the ghost will put that triumph to sleep my man. Get your hands on the triumph and ghost side by side for a Weight and balance comparison and well as sensitivity.. you may not pick up the triumph again. Lol I used to use the triumph years ago and switched. It’s a good economy rod but there are better out there. As for quantum I’ve had some bad luck with them so I stick to other brands. I’m glad it has been working for you though bro tight lines! 🙏🏼

Jedhaase Jedhaase if you're looking for a combo that is smooth, lightweight, and sensitive, I don't think you have to look any further than the setup I reviewed in this video. This setup fits exactly what you describe! It's light and sensitive. The okuma ceymar c30 is smoothest in its price class and the combo fits perfectly together. This is all my opinion, however. I have heard great things about the Fenwick HMG line. Not sure about the Pleuger, but they're a reputable company. Thank you for watching!

If you want it for multipurpose always go for the bigger size my friend try the C 25 they don’t sell a C20. :)

haven't had a chance to get out yet due to winter . I do have a ice fishing date in February.. will see . won't get to much use out of it till it warms up .. (Wisconsin) I bought it, reeled some line and winter set in lmao I did do some practicing in the yard though .. it feels nice for the price ..

Patrick Heselmans do you mean the action? The rod is a Medium Heavy with Fast action. It can adequately handle upwards of 3/8 oz. not sure what that would equate to in the metric system! Hope this helps. Thank you for watching

any thing I'm not familiar with this as it is a foreign brand and located in the USA this product is not available to me What I can tell you is: I am a very money conscious fisherman and strive to spend less on products that are worth what their counterparts are worth for double the price. I find great deals in the fishing world (1) because I can't afford high end products (2) because often times high end products are the same quality as items that are offered at a much lower price point and (3) there are tons of lower price point items just waiting to be discovered for their performance and quality With that being said, the Okuma Ceymar C30 is one of my favorite low cost reels because it has a high line capacity, high drag strength, quality paint and components, and a good looking profile. That's all need. This reel performs like a champion for low dollar.
