Since I started Fishing again I have heard so many excuses from various fishermen as follows, water is too dirty, too clean, too rough, too warm, too cold, current too strong and the wrong tides, there again some say that the barometer reading is too low or too high. Basically the only excitement I now get is when I buy new bait and tackle. 😊

lol… you need to know one thing… fishing is luck, and a lot of skill… We put in the hours (sometimes 30+ hours a week), and we don’t always catch… it’s as simple as that. Put in the hours, you’ll be rewarded

Some conditions are better than others but in perfect conditions you just catch big eye, there are still good fish, but fish smart. Pre-dawn to around 9 and then later from 4ish till dark. Try different baits, I enjoy sand mussel cause it catches most species. Put in some hours but get to know one spot really well. Where and when gets simpler that way. Will do a pep talk in the next video.

Thanks for the videos guys. I would recommend the Okuma Precision 15 foot, 6 to 8 ounce as another option.

For boat sharking, a 50-80 lb offshore angler power stick and an okuma custom black 30a reel from West Marine, after line probably 300-350 bucks, and it handles big sharks, I love it

That’s awesome- thanks so much for the comment! Okuma really make some awesome products!

Great review videos. Keep it up really interesting to see the different brands and rod and reel combos. Is it possible to review the big boy Penns with the assasin rods?

My metaloid 90 has never let me down, I got it paired with the horizon 6-8oz. It feels like minimal effort when fighting big fish

It’s 100% a great rod and reel combo you have there! The Metaloid is a fantastic reel, and if looked after will give you years of use!

I have a equinox XH and a Daiwa BG mq 18000 solid setup my biggest raggy was 190kg on that setup. I didn't choose the metalloid because I wanted something that can last especially for wading in the BG is designed for that purpose and to not allow water inside but not everyone has the budget for that reel. Also from experience there's a skate called the sharpnose skate, please do not put Ur hand in it's mouth trust me it was sharp teeth I thought I was going to loose my fingers😢 Great video!
@donczns9 ай бұрын
Thanks we don't catch to many of those thank goodness. The bg mq is one of my favorite reels, just got a little pricey since they launched. The goal of this video though was a good entry level setup and I can't think of many budget reels that outpull the metaloid. Sealed reels are tops but just never cheap

How would the metalliod 90s compare to a penn battle 3 8000
@untraceablefishing6 ай бұрын
I’d say quite closely- Metaloid feels sturdier to us, and is cheaper👌🏻

@@untraceablefishing is it enough for sharks?
@simonmorris63389 ай бұрын
I have purchased the best fishing gear that I can afford and I just think that the whole coast line from Kei Mouth to Hamburg are basically over fished for eatable fish and now people are targeting the sharks. I have no intention of trying to catch sharks. I think that it all boils down to luck.
