Great looking rod. I throw an Okuma Psycho Stick, and their sb rod. Quality rods, both of them. Thanks tj81 👊😎🎣

Those rods like sweet! I’ve yet to try their bass rods, but I use their rods almost exclusively for steelhead and salmon. They make great stuff

I have picked up a few Okuma over the last year based on yours, Debo, and BassGeek’s recommendations. Certainly keeping pressure on Daiwa and Shimano. Nothing like a bit of competition!

Ive noticed while buying, testing and even shopping around looking at rods everyone seems to talk about multi direction fibers, their signature design in the blank, ect. Then you look at the actual rod break down and they are many just a like lol. Made in asia at a factory that builds blanks for a few rod manufacturers. I bet that 46 ton is super nice and sensitive though. I like a higher ton lighter rod, you can feel a fish fart on your lure 😂

I have a medium heavy tournament concept bait caster that is pretty sensitive with jigs. I'm really into ned rigs and finesse baits. Tackle Warehouse has a rod sale going on right now so I got the X Series 7'3"medium light spinning for $90 off retail. It hasn't arrived yet, I just hope it's really sensitive for ned rigs. In your experience what rod have you found to be the most sensitive for that application? Thanks.

@tshaw150 I'm not a huge spinning reel guy. All of the spinning rods I have are from Okuma, but if you picked this series you made a great choice! 👊

If you are ever in the market for a ned rig/finesse spinning rod, this ML 7'3" is the bomb for the price. I fished it twice, side by side with my Loomis NRX+ 821S NRR and could not tell a difference between them as far as sensitivity is concerned which is what i obsess about. The NRX+ is $325 more but I guess that's the price you pay for the warrenty which is quite good.

Do they have the softer taper like the TCS? How do they load up?

In light of the prevailing economic conditions, what reasoning can you offer to support the decision to allocate between $279 and $299 for a rod of this caliber?
@TackleJunky81
@TackleJunky81 Жыл бұрын
A rod of this caliber is more of a nicety vs a necessity. The sensitivity is great and overall feel in hand is fantastic, but I wouldn't recommend anyone spend beyond their means.

@@TackleJunky81 I completely understand your perspective on the matter. It's essential to strike a balance between indulging in high-quality products that enhance the overall experience and staying within one's budget. It's great to hear that the rod offers excellent sensitivity and a fantastic feel in hand, which can undoubtedly enhance the enjoyment of the activity. However, your advice to avoid overspending and staying within one's means is wise and responsible. Fishing, like many hobbies, can be enjoyed at various budget levels, and it's essential to prioritize financial stability while still appreciating the finer aspects of the experience. Thank you for sharing your insights.
