I like that backpack but I need rodholders on them because I hop spot to spot with a bicycle and need my hands free. I use a "tactical" style large square pack because I need room for musky lures, a couple rods, and full sized net. For my bass and other small fish pack I could use my cargo pants pockets but need the rod holders so I use a maxpedition pack and have cell phone carriers on the sides for the rod ends to go into and straps on the sides. I keep pliers on my belt and everything else goes in the pack. I keep maybe four packs of worms for drop shotting and usually two boxes in the pack full of the lures I pretty much use everytime that I know works. I think every bass I caught last year was on a dropshot senko or Kalin's Weenie worm and the only lure I threw all year was a katcho orange crayfish rattle-trap knockoff. They never stopped working for me so I didn't even try anything else. I have one more pack for overnight catfishing and carpfishing that is a real backpacking pack with pockets on the sides for ski poles that I put my rods into and I can attach my net to the back if I'm taking it. This pack doesn't hold very much tackle but is mostly warm clothes and rain gear because I go overnight fishing with it and go out for 12-20 hours at a time and need a cooler for nightcrawlers and cutbait. Dang didn't know this was from last year. I think everyone is doing their backpacks again this time of the year again too.

Needs rod holders for guys like me that ride a bike spot to spot. Can't always park a car while your fishing so the bike helps out. I like the split main compartment and all the side pockets so stuff doesn't get all jumbled around too. My tackle bag usually has a tackle binder for my plastics, hooks, weights, etc. Then I'll have one main box with all my hard baits. Side pockets have scent, jaw spreaders for pike, and extra pliers. I can get that in the bottom of that bag and i'd put food and drinks in the top of the bag and cell phone in one of the top compartments. I'd put my gloves where you put yours.

Great Video Dude.. I am normally a boater, but I want to fish a few tournaments this year as a co-angler so I’m trying to figure out how to condense my tackle.. This is a good start!! Also, I have most of my soft plastic in boxes like you had in one of your videos a while back.. How would you work that in, if you wanted to keep them in boxes? Or is it better to get a worm binder and transfer a few colors/types and pack that way for a co-angler bag? Thanks again!! 👍🏻
@TackleJunky815 жыл бұрын
Thanks brother! I definitely prefer my soft plastics in boxes, but not ideal for a pond bag. I believe you'd be much better off with a binder.

TJ. Question. Do you think the bag would have benefit from rod holders? I've got a discontinued bag from Dick's and it's got two rod holders. Don't think I could live without them because it's perfect for a 3 rod bank setup. The storage space is just okay, nothing to write home about. Where do you stand on this; adequate storage space with rod holders, or great storage space with no rod holders.
@TackleJunky815 жыл бұрын
Rod holders on a tackle bag was never something I looked for. I always thought it would be more hassle than what it's worth. I'd rather have more storage, plus I use the rod mule for my rods.

Boomerang clippers with a FLASHLIGHT? Crap... now I'm going to have to buy another one. ;-) Which model of the "Cuda" scissors do you have and are they good for braid? I have some other brand scissors that were supposed to work for braid but they just "chew" at it and won't cut it cleanly. Makes me wonder why you have both the Boomerang tool as well as the Cuda scissors. BTW, I just purchased a Connect Scale for my son's birthday present. I used your code an got a 15% discount. Now, I'm thinking I need one for myself! Thanks for the discount and many thanks for your videos!
