Great video! My oldest son believes in catching quality fish. "Big ones only." Just jumped on the opportunity, and ordered a 250 and 175 for him. I like getting on big fish, but it brings me even greater joy when I see family and friends get on big fish! Thanks TW and Butch Brown for this!

I see you were at lower castaic (opening vid). In 1985 I caught a 20 lb bass one night from there on a 10 inch electric blue manns jumbo jelly worm....that lake was crankin out monster bass in the 1980s. You could walk along the shore line any day of the week for most of the decade (1980s) and see at least a 14 lber swimming around. The good old days 0:23

Slung my 250 BB mirror trout on a 300 Calcutta with 20 lb Seaguar abrasex and it was gone on cast 5, it’s my fault. The bait feels way too heavy for 20 lbs, going to try 25 in the spring hopefully with better results.

What split rings does Butch use on the 250?

Butch doesn't mention swapping any of split rings out, so we would assume he uses the stock split rings on the 250.

Awesome video butch!! In winter times and water temps around 50-55 degrees what type of water depths would you use when throwing the 250??
@TackleWarehouseКүн бұрын
Thanks for the question! When the water reaches colder temps in the winter, typically deeper depths are needed to catch fish. You would would need to heavily modify the Deps 250 just to get down deeper than 10ft. You might want to try out a soft Huddleston swimbait to get down to those deeper depths a little more easily. - TW Staff

Butch what’s your follow up bait for the non committers when your in 15’ or less depth?
@davevon3334 Жыл бұрын
I just discovered these baits. Came across one on marketplace for 100 bucks. I know, I'm new to this but I couldn't believe they wanted 100 bucks for a lure. I lose lures that cost 10 bucks and I freak out😅. I'm not the best bass fisherman, been trout stream fishing most of my life, but seeing the action that these lures produce really makes me want to try something like this. I definitely can see why people catch fish of a lifetime with these. Anyway great vid, thanks for the great info and looks like you have inspired me to Go FISHING😂😂😊

Great stuff. Question: The Deps Dom Driver SE is rated up to 4 oz. I’ve heard that it’s underrated but can it handle “all day-every day” casting with a 250? I would hate to push it over the limit given the price point and scarcity. Very interested. Thanks.
@michaelhyland7166Ай бұрын
How well does it skip?
@TackleWarehouseАй бұрын
The Deps 250 Slide Swimmer is not really made to skip. If you are looking for a larger Glide Bait to skip we would suggest checking out the Berkley Powerbait Nessie Soft Glide Bait. You can view it here: www.tacklewarehouse.com/descpage-BNG.html - TW Staff
