I love shopping locally here in France. We live in a small town, but like a lot of small towns the only shops remaining are the small individual shops that are a little different to the chain stores which are in every town! You always find something different, like your cast iron cooking pans or things to maintain them. Yes they are hard work but work maintaining because they will last for decades!
