Really coming along nicely. I think you were right when you mentioned sliding the lower portion of the window forward. It probably would have been easier but then you wouldn't get the sweet rake that you're getting by tilting it forward. I am impressed by how you are just knocking this out. Great job.

Thanks! Yes I think it really changes the appearance of the car

Kudos! I was unsure where you were going with the rear of the roof but you nailed it. Yes there is still a lot of work but you knew that already. I think it looks fantastic. Don't sell yourself short you have great vision of where you want this to go. I'm watching.

Great job, you're actually making it look a lot easier than it was in my head, well done.

Thanks… definitely was concerned about the cuts and if they would even match up..

@@MarekMakes are you going to attempt leading the roof rather than filler, no cracks that way, just melt it on and file it off with a rasp.
@MarekMakes8 ай бұрын
Yes that was my thought … but I’ve never tried that either …. Soooo we shall see how it turns out
@H4rleyBoy8 ай бұрын
@@MarekMakes low melting point so no warping, I suppose there will be a few videos on it, I did it a hundred years ago but lead and techniques will have moved on apace by now.

Lowering the body will also drastically change the attitude! Lots more welding first

👍🏻Nice job! She came together nicely! I had the same “Oh Sh!t moment” when I chopped and sectioned my car

Looking fantastic! I also was not sure we were going with that back roof line. For me, the episode was like the climax of your video series. Everything you did in the earlier videos, I was thinking “looks great, but damn what are we gonna do about that back roof line!?”. I think you are well on your way to fixing what seemed like an insurmountable problem.

So cool. Saw this car at ratstock. I had the military flamethrowing rat. I’m getting ready to chop a 1940 Plymouth 4 door into a chop top 2 door. Good info here

Just me but I would have cut at the belt line, moved the bottom section of the rear window area forward snd made a fill panel for the section between the belt line and the boot lid.
@MarekMakes8 ай бұрын
I thought long and hard about that option …
@bigblockkings10318 ай бұрын
Hell yeah that is working out really nice for you! Yeah you'll have to do some welding but Damnn it's lining up good. How many cutoff wheels have you gone through? Also as you were cutting out the inside metal I saw that you had to cut against the rotation of the grinder and it was kicking back. I Hate it when I have to do that!
@MarekMakes8 ай бұрын
Yeah it was cramped and I had earmuffs, mask, safety glasses, gloves and it was super pain in the A$$ to do but I could not have folded the metal the way it needed to without removing that part
@williamquinones28708 ай бұрын
Man you made short work out of that and it's looking good 👍 nice job for a rookie at this approach you sure came off looking like a Pro
