I love it. Its not found everywhere. I only order it with extra cheese and sour cream. When ordered that way no need for hot sauce but you certainly can add it. Trust me. Try it first without hot sauce. Must have sour cream and extra cheese so it is oozing out. Enjoy!

God I wish they still made these. However it’s super easy to make them on your own and they taste exactly like them. Velveta cheese melted in some hormel no beans chili add cheese. Same taste

I'm a 4-year long manager at a taco bell here in Texas and the chili cheese burrito was taken off our menu "for good" The chili is basic taco bell meat filling with a giant pack of seasoning and water. :) The taco meat comes in large packages, we don't necessarily cook it. Its warmed up for 30 minutes in boiling water. And those burritos are awesome with "Fiesta salsa" and sour cream added to them.

The chili cheese burrito has always been on the menu here in Northern Michigan, Ken. One of my favorites, especially because it's one of the few Taco Bell items that travels well and can be eaten later! ;) (Our nearest TB is 40 minutes away)

I get my chili cheese burritos with their potatoes in it, im drooling. Chili cheese burritos are easy to make, used to work at a taco bell. The sauce is made from a powder and hot water and mixed with the regular taco meat. The tortilla is warmed up on a really hot flat top, a big scoop of the chili is put on the tortilla then a scoop of cheese and it goes under a steamer to melt the cheese and boom.

a little history of the chili cheese burrito....Here in Columbus Ohio in the early 1980"s we had a fast food restaurant called Zantigos...it was awesome and they were here for many years. They had many classic food items people loved. including the chilito...it was the chili cheese burrito...when Taco Bell bought out Zantigos people here kept asking for the chilito...so Taco Bell added the chili cheese burritos to the menu as a secret menu item.. at first they only had it here in Columbus they eventually added to the other restaurants I suppose..

In my area (Westland, MI) the chili cheese burrito exists, however one of the new grillers is a Chili Cheese Fries Griller which is the same as you had Ken, but it has their potatoes in it.

Taco Bell had Chili cheese burritos like 20 years ago. They were called Chilitos back then. I use to get one every morning when I walked to High School. I was SOO happy that they brought them back, but alas they are gone again. :(

ive worked in a taco bell before, their process of making their food is quite simple. Everything is either pre cooked or dehydrated, prepped in the morning and ready for service , and the veggies come in packets refrigerated. Oh yeah btw we don't get fries but we get cinnamon chips they are like made from dehydrated pasta.

Chili Cheese Burrito is only available at some US locations and it seems to be kinda random whether a specific location has it or not as you can find alternate locations in the same city that do or do not have it. It's also possible some places just don't have it on their displayed menu, but you might still be able to order it.

The burritos used to be a lot bigger like they were in the 90's then they are today. Add to that the increase in prices barely even worth the cost. Was so messy if you didn't eat it right the chili cheese would burst out the bottom there was so much of it. Last time I had one years ago 1 CCB from the 90's was like 2 1/2 of todays and only cost 79 cents in the 90's... :(

Yes and not only that it's better for a side treat with your Taco Bell combo. When I get one besides the hard/soft shell tacos I need something else with it as well such as fries however I get nachos instead since they don't have them. lol

The chilli is made out of the red sauce and beef literally mixed up then we put cheese on it and steam it in our steamer, then we wrap it up, (I work at kfc/tacobell)
