Taco pie 🌮 🥧

I being lazy tonight and really didn’t feel like cooking a big meal so taco pie it is. One medium onion 2 pounds of ground beef, 1 tablespoon minced garlic,one can of fire roasted diced tomatoes, 1 tablespoon of chicken base,two cans of grand crescent rolls. I use 1 teaspoon of each of the following spices. You can use more or less season to your taste salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, Cajun, roasted garlic powder, turmeric paprika, dry Italian herbs, and dry basil.

Mom used to do this with all her left- overs ...if she had ground beef, and potatoes or whatever. At the end of the week, she would combine whatever into a pie. This was in the late 70s-80s. Since we never knew what was beneath or between those homemade piecrust, i used to call it *pie surprize*

Grandchildren love making tacos, I think this is a little different, but I'm sure they will enjoy it. I'm going to have to try it next time they come for the weekend. Thank you for giving us new ideas on how to change things up a little.

Looks delicious. I would probably add a drained and rinsed can of black beans to the burger mixture (so good). Top with your yummy sour cream, plus diced tomatoes, chopped onions, and cilantro. Yum!

I remember the bisquick taco pie my grandma would use bisquick batter it was on the bisquick box it was fantastic I mean fantastic u will love it 🙂 after u bake it then put your taco fixing on top sourcream for sure 🙂

So I make this, but on a pizza pan. And 10 mins in I pull it out, and sprinkle cheese ALL over the top and edges. Put back in 350 oven for 10 mins. And you end up with a crunchy edge and a taco ring! So yummy! I eat mine with salsa and sour cream!
