I'm not sure if it's true for Grace but I know my wife has problems with lactose but cheese isn't bad. Part of the cheese making process makes it easier to digest.

Cheese don't have a lot of lactose, especially hard cheese. Soft cheese has more but not a lot as well :)

Hi Grace, I don't know if it's easy to get pure licorice root where you live (should be at herbal shops), but it's the best thing for any kind of problems with your voice. No matter if it's because of being sick or yelling too much at a party, it soothes your throat and works miracles. I can still hear some hoarseness in your voice so decided to recommend it as, well, you need to talk a lot here.:) I sing and it helped me make it through the concerts when I was sick.:)
