How does Taco Tuesday in San Diego sound? Sounds great to us!! Starting at Tacos el Gordo for the amazingly delicious Adobada. Then, a short drive to The Taco Stand for a trio of tacos! For dessert, there happens to be a Donut Bar next door! Donuts.. Donuts.. Donuts!!

The first original Tacos El Gordo started first in TIJUANA Mexico on a street corner white cart . Then he extended the corner street with 4 carts in the same corner street 2&2 ,, Then they opened their first Local Place in Tijuana near the border . So like in the late 80's or early 90's they opened the first one in Chula Vista 3rd Ave. The one on this video was the second place in San Diego which is also in Chula Vista on H. Street near the exit of freeway 5 . In my opinion the closer you get to the border the better the taste is for most of their Mexican Restaurants ....

I went to the Donut Bar a while ago and opted for a Nitro Coffee because at the time, this was a 'novel' thing and very few places had it. All but one of my friends was into trying it (at the time) so, majority fuled and we trekked nearly two miles from where we were staying (parked) to get to this place. You have to pay another 50.00 to park if you leave your spot so, we opted to walk (tons of walking at Comic Con)! The coffee was disappointing, but I remember the people that worked there were really nice and helpful. Donuts are great but a once a year treat for me (around my birthday) so I passed but I remember they looked soooo large that two to three people could eat one (like a mini cake in size). I know this is an older posting (was in my suggested videos) but have you been to Coco Bomb in S. D.? We got mango sticky rice and coconut ice cream (very refreshing) .

Please try Sidecar Doughnuts in Torrance on PCH near Crenshaw in front of Trader Joes. The doughnuts are on the expensive side, but so delicious! Lisa, I like the old school Vans shoes you're wearing!

6:52 mention of Tijuana Taco Crawl: my sister lived in San Diego so we did trips to Tijuana. Imho, I don't know if a taco crawl is worth it, we twice had food poisoning and once it was some intestinal related, going to the bathroom 10 x a day and drinking only Pedialyte. // A few years ago I was squeezing a limes on my tacos at my favorite Chicago taco stand and I managed to squirt lime juice directly into some gangbangers eyes sitting right of me.

Yes, adobada is the same at both locations from what we can tell. May be an illusion, but seems like the SD location puts a bit more meat on the tacos? Might be just the carver of the day. lol. And yes, pretty sure the Vampiro available at the Vegas location too.
