I would like know the amount spent on the section of I-5 by the Tacoma Dome in the last 15 years. Just curious how much we spend to improve nothing.

Overspent yes. Nothing I highly doubt that. Ever since it open it's 4 lanes going North it has not bottle up, that's even without it's HOV lane open yet.

@@hydrobuu Ots jammed up 9 out 10 times i drive through it. And the Fife area has actually gotten worse. Lets just admit there's too many people here. Too many cars on the road & they just upped license plate fees from $10-$50.

@@johngrasso1483 I drive through Tacoma daily. Going North has improved dramatically. Going South is another story the on and off ramps to Narrow bridges is a horrible design especially merging with 705 heading south. Off ramp to 167 is also bad. And Fife going to Tacoma is also a nightmare, unless they restructure the lanes.

All the money spent on that section and add in the $600,000,000 the tribe spent on their casino 🤔 you would have to think that they might clean out all the "riff raff" 🤷♂️

Why not remove the bridge entirely?

Tacoma's port is the second largest port on the West Coast surpassed only by San Diego.

Make it safer to fish in the area??? The Puyallup tribe is the only ones that fish there. The city and port commission wont be happy until all the small businesses that were in the port are replaced with rows of containers. Containers dont complain about the bad roads, etc. Look at Port of Tacoma in the 70s compared to now. 90 % of the small businesses have been run out. 11th street used to be an easy way to drive from Tacoma to Browns point but the bridges were closed and removed to make it easier for ships to come in. Who cares about the locals, they can drive around the port. Note the boats in the background that the Puyallup tribe abandoned for the city to clean up.
