@@chaseparker4950 Multiple people from the same cities tell me different areas are the worst, also this channel is visual if an area is bad or considered bad and doesn't look bad it won't get views. These were about the worst looking areas I saw, during the time I was there. Sometimes people just want their neighborhood or places they familiar with posted.

@@chaseparker4950 I wasn't trying to go to every hood in the city in one video, I never do. The interviews aren't about if I want to do one, it's about if I can get one. There are lots of places I attempted and wasn't able to get interviews. I do random ones and on some people contact me. Several people contacted me to do one in Tacoma after I left, so I will probably do one with one of them when I come back.

I currently live in Tacoma. Moved here from southern Oregon about a year ago now. I'm in recovery, but I can tell you that when I was using, and running a muck in the streets 6 months ago, every single person whether they be an addict, homeless, mental illness, fallen on hard times or all of the above were some of the nicest most giving, generous, caring and thoughtful people. People that have come under hard times get labeled in such a terrible manner and treated as if they are leppers. And of course there are those that are just not good people at all, theirs, violent, leave garbage everywhere. But there are people like that in all walks of life. I love Tacoma, and the people that live here. The only negative thing I have to say, and this applies to the entire state. But not a single person here knows how to drive. It's infuriating. Pick a damn speed, don't break for no reason on the freeway, get off your phone, and learn how to merge!

There's not a single part of Tacoma that is considered "hood" anymore. Gentrification took its course and it's all pretty livable now. Lower income/class areas maybe sure yeah but nothing inherently dangerous about living in Tacoma anymore. Late 90s early 2000s Hilltop was a dangerous place to be walking around. @@supersaturn956 Yeah man people get robbed and worse at the water front and that’s where all the tourist are. You definitely have to mind your business but you better be aware of what’s going on around you at all times. They shoot at police weekly and even rob police pretty often. It’s a shame too because it’s a beautiful city. There are a lot of good people tho. There aren’t any softies tho, even with the regular people. You have to be tough. It’s funny when people here there from another city for work or whatever. A lot can’t handle it and leave wishing a few weeks but if they stay they will be a lot safer when they go to other cities in the future lol

Tacoma is rapidly improving and getting much better. It’s easy to find a run down area when you look for one anywhere.

Black people hanging out in alleyways isn't inherently dangerous. The time to make this video was 30 years ago, otherwise this is just silly.

I saw my mom's house in this video. This was like taking a tour of my home town not a single spot I didn't recognize. Tacoma is not that bad but I want to keep it feared helps keep it inexpensive to live there.

I literally live in hilltop off Yakima Ave. it really isn't dangerous unless you got beef with people but its mostly just hella ghetto and you should be more worried about the homeless and thieves mainly.

I love Tacoma. It's a pretty okay place to live. There's no "ghetto or hood" in Tacoma. There's what I call "grimey " spots for sure. The difference is, in the "ghetto" the environment you're in is going to most likely negatively impact your life. In a "grimey" spot of Tacoma, if you're not in the shit it's not gonna impact you for the most part. If your are it will.

I've lived in and around Tacoma all my life basically. While I do prefer the more rural places, like Eatonville or Orting, Tacoma hasn't been too bad, it could use a lot of improvement but it's not nearly as bad as Chicago or Los Angeles.

The thumbnail is literally my old house's backyard fence lmao. The alley right next to the stop mart on S 15th and J. Right next to St. Joe's too, there were hella sirens every night and people were constantly puking or fighting in that alley. It honestly wasn't that bad compared to a lot of other places in Tac tho
