my great grandma does the same she can speaks English but she's so old now she never speaks English, but will understand everything we say.... I think as you get older its more work to sit there and have to translate everything in your head first before you say it, plus if she knows we can understand her what's the point..... plus she the last one out of all her brothers and sisters alive and pretty much the only one in America out of her cousins and stuff, so she prob kinda homesick and misses being in Haiti

When I was a teen; I used to be a rebel and hated that my mom would try to lecture me with her life experiences lectures to avoid what she went through at my age and I would feel she was too pushy in wanting me to be someone I wasn't when all she was doing was guiding me to the right path.. then I became a teen mom and as the years passed; my daughter became a rebel and I was now the one telling my daughter the same exact words my mom would try to tell me... this has nothing to do with The show; but for the ppl trying to bash Eileen's mom for being too pushy is for a reason; all moms want their daughters to succeed and without a push; they won't take a step..
