I went to a "everything is free" house today. I wasn't able to get there until 3 hours after they opened. The guy running it told me there were people sleeping in their cars waiting to get in when he opened at 8. Not much left when I got there. I got a few little things, not much, but free is free!

Taco put a little container in between the seats so you can put those items inside then it won't look messy, plus get yourself a stainless steel water container n then you won't have many plastic bottles just half way open, that was nice find in that house with those weights, but you didn't took the chair I thought it was metal, plus the cooler with all the sodas you could have recycled the bottles,

When I lived down the Jersey Shore, I used to go to Lambertville and New Hope. If I remember rightly, didn't Lambertville have an inside and outside area? We have overcast, rainy and sometimes windy weather all the time here in Ferndale, Wa. late fall to early spring, got to be sure to take our vitamin D3 supplements to prevent the winter "Blues". Put a milk crate between the seats in your van for the stuff you keep in the van. That way you will know where everything that you need is.

I'm wondering ... if you had an electric bread knife, couldn't you cut up mattresses & dispose of them "a little at a time" in your regular garbage? I mean, they wouldn't consider them "mattresses" if they're cut up ... they just become garbage that fits into a garbage can ---- that way you could buy storage units with mattresses & not have to wrap & dispose of the mattresses ... in fact, it's quick, easy & kind of fun to cut up mattresses (especially foam ones) with an electric knife!

Did you say that particular community outlaws dumpster diving? That seems unreasonable to me. People have thrown out stuff and don't want it anymore, why can't someone take it and reuse it? Those metal weider weights are worth a lot. The 50 lbs ones are about $45 brand new. There were probably over $100 worth there. Try selling them on Facebook or Craigslist, instead of scraping them
