Love the round table would look great on a big porch with a huge fern sitting on top ! The stuff in that box with the print of like kids paper was interested ! I was yelling get it ! get it ! You are right, my family has a shared lake cabin and almost everything in it has been picked or bought at flea markets or reused when we redecorate our homes. Cabins are for fun, they don't need to be out of House Beautiful.

Taco, get you some chalk paint. It will hide any flaws and they have really cool colors. It goes a long way too. Love, love your large round table. Too bad you left the stools at the house the guy was cleaning out. Those would have looked good together. It would be great if you had a consignment store to sell your big stuff for you. Then you would not have to pass up the bigger items you wanted. You found some cool stuff.Thanks for sharing

I'm so glad to see you picking up all that free furniture! If you use chalk paint you don't need to sand or remove the old paint. It's super easy to do! Sand rough spots and wipe clean, then just paint it. Most of the time you only need one coat. You will get good money for the round one! TFS Hugs!

Oh those big stone buildings in this town are gorgeous. Yes, kids clothing on the curb could be cut up for rags. I haven't bought paper towels in years, I only use rags. Old school, saving the earth when I can!

Hey mr Taco, as Interior Designer I would have an idea for the small golden table, don't touch the legs, because it looks good, just the top should be sanded or so and maybe paint it in a colour, well black maybe or so. One idea for when/if you can't go trash picking would be to take everything out of your warehouse and reorganize it. Box like things together and put on shelves with a label about what is in the boxes and/or totes. Put tools in milk crates that you can stack on top of each other. That way when flea markets open up, you will be able to grab boxes and totes right off the shelves. And don't forget to wrap glass items in paper to protect them. Sorry but everytime I see the warehouse and your office I just want to empty them and organize them. LOL

That was fun! I like your thoughts on how to up cycle some of your finds. That square table you were afraid to make any worse you could put small tiles or flat stones and pour resin over top so it'll flatten/even out.

We don't mind if your crafting doesn't turn out, at times mine doesn't either, you learn from mistakes. You said it yourself why you were picking up different random things, you don't know what it's going to be like out there in the next few weeks. Sure enjoyed the picking today, it was different. Those gold leaf light wood Italian style tables were the rage in the 1970s. A faux renaissance revival. Then you find 2 Italian end tables at a different place. Ain’t that coincidence.

Taco, If you ever want to do a little refinishing on tables etc. Mohawk Furniture refinishing supplies has fillers, sprays etc. I used them when I was doing furniture restoration/ refinishing. Good stuff . Stay well. Cheers, Rik Spector

Invest in a can of Formby's furniture restorer. It's used to soften the finish to where it can be re-spread to get rid of scratches.

I have flea marketed with my Mom over the years and I will tell you how to sell tables. Don't have them there as a sale item. Have them there for displaying stuff. People love to "Put you out" by causing you difficulty in moving everything off the table just to sell it to them. Have a chair you want to get rid of? Just sit in it. They love to make you give up your comfy seat.

Taco, I took a very old steamer trunk and used a citrus based easy stripper. It preserved enough of the finish below, I didn't have to do more then wax it. You don't need to sand that table...just strip it with a gel stripper...makes it easier to preserve an old wood item for sure.

Taco - That “ gold” table is hand gilded. Please do not mess with it. For the scratched wooden table top have you tried Renuzit? Your other option is the coloured wax sticks for repairing scratches. Just match the colour of the wood. Why not use the movers blankets for the furniture pieces.? You could stack the tables top to top if they were properly cushioned.

If you pull the drawers out of a dresser before moving it the weight is almost cut in half, then once the dresser is moved slide the drawers right back inside it.

Love the magazine rack table. I’ve sold 3 small tables that I got at yard sales and church sale and Goodwill on FB marketplace before the stuff. Paid $15 total. Sold all for $140. Those old little side tables and stuff are wanted for sure.
