I had issue with version 2 packs. It wouldnt. Charge on phone charger in car. They require 5V 5A charger. I couldnt find one. Most are only 2.4A or 3A. I plug the cord into wall outlet with the built in USB port. Charged right up.

When mine said it was done charging, when reading woth a meter, it only shows 7volts?? Does that mean it is bad?

Only way to charge that with a solar panel u have to use the panel that comes with the sk model it will not charge with anything igger then 5 volts

My panel has a USB A 5.5v output for charging cellphones and tables. The lipo pack will charge with up to 5.6v source.

What do you set your volt meter on to check a battery of this type? Not electrically inclined.

My lipo pack is under a year old, has only been in use 6 months and charged twice. Now it doesn't seem to want to take a charge. Solid red light comes on but when i come back to it later the light is off but the battery isn't charged. Disappointing waste of $50.

Sorry bro you got half of this wrong. If running the camera on “AA” batteries it needs 12 to operate…. 12 batteries at 1.5 volts each is 18volts…. Half of this voltage (9v) comes from each side of the pack (Using the center pin you should measure 9volts on each leg (the poles on the side of the pack), with one leg functioning as a bypass for external power (ie: solar pack).

@johnsoncraig2230 that would be correct if all 12 were in series. However, they are not. The battery tray is a 6s2p configuration, meaning 6 in series or 6x1.5v and 2 banks of 6 in parallel.

This is why the camera will function down below 7v. If you load one side of the battery tray with brand new AAs the camera will function and show 100% battery level.
