Guys, I got two of these cameras, and I’m not finding any of the instructions to make sense of it. A little disappointing at the moment.

@@RevealbyTactacam man, I think having a video that shows from unboxing it all the way to turning it on. Telling about the SD card and everything. Mine ended up being the SD card, but even signing up for the data plan and everything it was the most difficult I’ve ever had on the cameras. That’s my negative, my positive is other than the battery life these cameras are freaking amazing. I’m starting a hunting show and would like to feature these in some of the videos. If I could talk to somebody, that would be nice.

I have the right SIM card, SD card, only works when I’m literally at my ranch as soon as I leave I get no pictures, I upgraded to the “xtra” 9$ to see if I take a picture on demand if it will work and it didn’t , so I cancelled it ,(it had already taken the 9$ from my account) so then I try to turn it on since it already charged me and when I turn it on it charged me another 9$ so I’m in it 18$ on the extra plus the 13$ for the unlimited month, and I don’t get any pictures unless I manually press “on demand” and before you say there’s nothing there on both times I pressed on demand there was 3 does and 3 raccoons

Can’t do anything but beat that I got a trail cam. Can’t even access photos or anything. Bought service plans and all but still can’t even get through to customer service. Legally a scam it feels like. Just done got robbed willingly

My problem is I have good cards, good batteries, good signal etc. I get all of my photos and for a while received my videos as well. But for a couple days now when I request a video I'll either not get it at all or it shows I get it but when I click play it just turns into the tactacam scope logo, but no video. What's up with that?? Please let me know

@Dodgerzden yes same here. Fortunately I've had really good luck,I have 13 cameras, including 2 original reveals, and they all still work great. But I do have random things like this on occasion, that's usually a problem with signal, a card, etc, but I'm going to put in another new card today just to make sure it wasn't a defect. It's the only thing I can try again before contacting customer support. I did buy a camera as new once and it wouldn't work and customer support walked me thru it. I did discover it was one that was returned to the store before I bought it but we got it lined out easily and it works great now. So I'm happy with customer support as well. Compared to me previous experiences with stealth, Moultrie, spypoint etc I'm thrilled to have tactacam. But when it happens it's frustrating. But in the tech world there will always be glitches, as long as my cameras are fully functional when the smoke clears I'm happy, and so far they have been.

I will add however, it's EXTREMELY frustrating to request an HD photo or video, then if it doesn't come thru for whatever reason, to not be able to request it again. C'mon tactacam, we were putting people on the moon 55 years ago, can't we request another image or video, and if so why not? If it's to prevent unnecessarily duplicating, then put a bubble up that says "this image has already been requested, are you sure you want to request another one?" Then we select yes or no. Seems easy to me

That happens to me rarely, it seems to happen more if you request several videos or HD photos at the same time. If I request 1 at a time it never happens.

My X-Pro keeps shutting down (Tactacam solar panel is fully charged). Have swapped the SanDisk Extreme (Class 10 U3) card out twice & a few days ago there was sim error message on the actual camera after going out & checking for the upteenth time so I 3jected sim & SD card plus reset it but it will still only run for 2-4 days & shut off again. Had anyone else had this issue? Thanks!

Yes. Exact same issue I'm dealing with. I've run 7 gen 2.0 cameras with solar panels for a year and a half to two years now with zero problems. All of a sudden two cameras are acting just as you described. Doesn't matter what I do to try and resolve the problem. I've run through every option presented by TactaCam and some other troubleshooting ideas from others online. NOTHING works. I'm about ready to smash the heck out of these things.

​@@abug1985Dang, I hate to hear someone else is having trouble as well. I was beginning to think mine were the only ones acting up like that. It's frustrating because both my original 1st Gen Reveal cams have ran flawlessly for approx 4 years(maybe more, can't rem when they first came out). I was sold hook line & sinker (esp after having awful pics from other brands) so I eventually added the newer models here/there (was glad to have video options). I started having issues right after adding the XB model but was able to trade for a new one @ BassPro but still have issues with that model. My husband got me a GenX2 & that one worked well but when I added another GenX2 the it kept shutting off but finally started acting right most of the time. It wasn't until I added two of the X Pro models that I started wanting to throw them in the trash (they ain't cheap so I couldn't justify that). I've had nothing but trouble ever since with those newest models (have scared a few mature bucks out of the area due to having to fool with them). It's very frustrating to pay for the camera investment plus the $80 a month to keep them running just to not have 1/2 of them work.😖 I almost wish they would have just kept it simple like the Gen 1 model because I've had zero issues & they are still going strong. I tried Moultrie briefly but they would not get a signal in my area so I've been very interested in Browning but can't get a straight answer about the monthly fees. On some social media everyone seems to love them & they appear very durable but some ppl have said you must pay a large fee upfront fee in addition to the monthly fees. I emailed Browning hoping to get more info but never heard back from them. Have you tried Browning or know anything about the fees associated with them? I keep threatening to sell the Reveals for what I can get & start over with Browning but the up in the air question about the fees has me a lil spooked. If nothing else it would be extremely nice for the ones I have now just freaking work correctly.😖

I've had 3 of these for 2.5 years with no trouble. Recently 1 quit updating and won't send pics-still takes them though. Been hanging in the same place right along until I brought it home and switched the SD card. Still not sending pics. New batteries too. Any suggestions?

Allow it 24 hours to check in with the server. This is normal, each new camera will say this until it checks in with the ATT/Verizon Tower

@@RevealbyTactacam Can't believe the instruction manual and the set up videos fail to mention that it could take 24 hours to check in. I have been trying to force a check in for an hour. Wouldda been nice to know...

Check the antenna input, I've had some a spec of dirt cause issues even though it says full service and full battery, which I run the lithium packs.

Reveal x 3.0... no sim card, no SD card option, good batteries and moderate signal. It sent the first check in and nothing after that. What do you suggest besides a bad camera

If you are getting that message on a newly added camera saying "waiting for first check in". Turn off camera Go to settings "Add Camera" Follow screen phone app instructions and turn ON wifi and location When the instructions say so then turn your camera to "setup mode" and wait for the blinking blue light of wifi. (MOST IMPORTANT STEP THAT I WAS MISSING) Follow the rest of the screen phone app instructions and choose your provider You should then get a final message saying success camera is active Then turn ON your camera and give it about 5 minutes Your newly added camera should now appear as active I had this complication after buying the 2 camera bundle. The steps are slightly different since they include an SD card that works for both AT&T and Verizon.

Bought a camera over year ago and still fighting to get it sent back, want me to pay $25 to ship it for them to tell me it don't work then another $100 I'm sure to get new camera so I'd have over $200 in a $100 camera

It went from giving me pics them at 12:08Am was the last pic I’ve gotten for the last two days. Thought it was stolen, but when I look in maps it’s still in the same place I left it. Could it be my iCloud storage in my phone?

Hello! No, it would not be iCloud storage. Make sure you have a compatible SD card. If your camera is connected to a solar panel, make sure that the panel is still connected properly and getting adequate sunlight.
