I served with a prior enlisted TACP David Gray, they opened up an officer program and he was so happy 13 Lima... unfortunately he was killed in Afghanistan. R.I.P. DG and the 3 others killed that day. Florent Groberg received the MOH for his actions that day.

Good to see the growth of TACP since I ETS'ed in '07, especially with the TACP Officers and Air Force Special Warfare along with being treated as an Air Force Weapons System (and Weapons School slots). All of these were mere dreams and rumors when I was active duty, and it gives me great pride to see them bearing fruit today. "Death on Call"

I’ve got a random request, might be something that others would find helpful. I’m married with three kids, and currently putting in my retrain package for TACP. My wife enjoys watching your guys podcasts with me to help her better understand the special warfare community and career. Plus you guys are funny, so there’s that 👌 Do you think there is any potential to have an episode with a spouse of someone in the special operations field to help answer some questions from the family side of things? Or to give an understanding of what to expect? Doesn’t have to be in that manner but hopefully what I’m asking makes sense. Wife has several questions in regard to how family life will be affected with the retrain into this field. Any help is appreciated! You guys rock!

Seems pretty solid, for an officer. Straight up. That advanced dad training implies he takes care of his folks. Would he use the last of the water to make coffee for the command shack? Probably not.

If you go into TACP as an officer, be it from SECLP-A or some other program, what happens if you somehow fail the pipeline? Do you get washed into another rated officer job or get separated? Go back to enlisted?

What’s your opinion on cross training? Like from TACP to Pj or SERE to CCT? Is it worth it? Would you recommend it? Personally I’m going in for SERE but PJ is a lifelong goal.
@McMeatBag4 жыл бұрын
Cross training is not remotely guaranteed. It's highly luck dependent and you could never have the opportunity. If you want to be a PJ, go in for PJ.

Hey guys in the next podcast would you guys mind speaking on how the friendships and or issues that plague someone while being on a team? Also are there any hazing sessions still happening within the teams as a new guy? How soon could one PCS from one squadron to the next depending on their experience there?

sorry for the late comment but im personally curious if tacp can get jobs in the civilian sector or if they wanted to leave the military what the next step for a majority of them would be job wise? Its a super interesting job but i wonder what a majority of them do outside of the military once they either retire or decide to leave the military... I cant really find much info on it tbh

Question for Trent and Peaches: I understand that you are combat dive certified when you graduate the pipeline, and continue to practice and dive throughout your career. But even as frogmen, how often do you use dive skills in combat?

Hey AFSOC operators. I have a question. Im considering joining on a SERE contract. Can you bring your own ruck to selection? If I purchase the Eberlestock F1 frame (using the onesready promo code of course) will I be able to use the beast or will I be stuck with the issued ruck?
@OnesReady4 жыл бұрын
You can use it to train with before joining and bring it with you. You likely won't be able to use it immediately, but you can use whatever you want after graduation.🍑

@@OnesReady Thanks for the reply🍑 Ya'll are doing an awesome service with this podcast and every week is chalk full of top notch content. I do have one more question and I want you to be honest with me. Do the guys in SR have jetpacks? Trent is very ambiguous about the clandestine nature of Special Reconnaissance. Airline pilots have been reporting encounters with dudes in jetpacks at 3000 ft in altitude. Has anyone ever seen Trent and a jetpack man in the same room? If SR is a "sky reaper" unit (I want credit for that name) it could be used as the most effective recruiting tool in the history of AFSOC. If not, please tell Trent they should get some jetpacks.
@OnesReady4 жыл бұрын
@@goonhoona8186 Now you're asking me to cross some lines in regards to divulging classified material. I'm not at liberty to say one way or the other in regards to Trent's Jetpack.🍑

@@Madmikey-dt8fx I'll give you an example there's a wrestler by the name of Jordan Burroughs he's multiple Olympic and worlds gold medalist he has two kids one boy one girl the eldest child his son decided he would follow in his father's footsteps and has already started wrestling his daughter tagged along to see if she was interested but all the men their just made her feel uncomfortable wrestling and discouraged her so she didn't try the next time they went there was another female there which made her feel more comfortable and that day she decided to wrestle instead of just sitting on the sidelines and possibly missing her opportunity to becoming the female equivalent of her father it does mean quite a bit when you see someone like yourself doing something it's encouraging and that's a fact it helps to not be the only minority in a group as it encourages you that you're in the right place that you do belong their or can at least it's hard to understand if you haven't been in area where you are a minority male nurses also have this struggle as well
